If y'all are bored or curious how AI does in the hardest first semester CS class offered by Cornell

AI assisted coding is different from vibe generation sessions. Pure vibe coded crapware. Share it please.

This is the thing I think most folks don't realize with AI. Using it as a tool to help/assist you is where it can excel. Using it to replace you/fully code something for you, that's a different story...

  • I vibe coded a real life
    Sorry I’m busy

    Thanked by 2oloke tux

It does have its uses, but I wouldn’t vibe code something without having it being fully security checked/tested, AI isn’t there yet if ever to be completely trustworthy.

But then if you know what the fuck you’re doing and not a construction worker you can do wonderful things 🤣

I heard recently that all you need is a green check mark in GitHub

  • I vibed a lot, all about VPS using. But none of them is online now. I find it extremely difficult to polish the coding and to resolve all corner cases. I use Claude Opus and Codex, btw.

Nothing open source at this moment but this is the shit that I use almost daily.

Tool with the following basic features:

    • the ability to buy through the API those products that appear in campaigns later on the official OVH website
    • the ability to automatically buy servers that are not in stock at the moment t0 but purchased as soon as they appear in the desired quantity
    • email notification when a purchase has been completed

Orders are automatically placed but I make the payment manually after receiving the email, thus avoiding major risks in case of errors at the API level or my application.

This crappy code has 2296 lines in a single .py file and a json configuration for credentials.

I was wondering if anyone happens to have an OVH €9.90 "lucky draw" server for sale? I'd be willing to purchase it at a premium.

I don't. OVH has the credit card and I have to confirm the three security digits for every purchase via this shit.

Any suggestions how to get more credits per buck? Claude max is to expensive and pro is way to limited. Cgpt is decent but lacks in compare to claude.

I've seen on reddit people use Mistral Vibe with some success. It's the same price as Claude Code. One guy said he uses Claude with Opus for the plan and Vibe to execute.

    i vibe coded this https://travel.seenujournal.xyz/

i wanted to build this for more than a decade but never got chance/time.

it took me much less time than to deciding to workvibe on it or not (i didn't want to get into rabbit hole so tried to avoid)

I still have PHP code in production that I wrote in 2006, does that count?

I implemented a new safe “Save Image As Type” Chrome extension because the old one was removed due to containing malicious code 😆
    You can try it: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/save-image-as-type/cgiegmijoocnmcahaolicpgolaipfcdp

Is it really abandonware if it's still in prod and I am aware of its existence?

Yes, dump it into github, give it a chance to get included in the next training dataset so vibe coders in the future will be able to produce even crappier code.
