I wouldn't even sell a X3450 to my worst enemy.
apt-get is slow af, single core performance is dogshit.

However, for 11$/m maybe if you have no other option

Totally fair point — the X3450 is definitely not a modern CPU and won’t compete on single-core performance with newer hardware.

That said, this offer isn’t aimed at performance-heavy workloads. It’s meant for budget use cases like storage, backups, light services, or lab environments where cost matters more than raw speed.

At $11/month, it fills a specific niche, and for some users it’s still a solid value. If you need stronger single-core performance, we’ve got newer options as well 👍

Been a VPS customer for a while but I grabbed a 16G dedi from SolidVPS recently during a flash sale. Initial installation seemed fine but I was having issues with my drive, so they replaced it. Turns out it was something else (maybe sata port or cable?). Either way, they upgraded me to a 32G dedi for the same price -- without any back and forth.

Highly recommended for all their offerings, service and support.

@SolidVPS Very nice deals, sadly US is not feasible for me. Will there be any NL and/or UK deals in the coming days too?

Yes — both UK and NL locations will be included in the coming days. We’ll be rolling out new deals every 1–2 days across all 11 of our available locations listed in the link.

    https://solidvps.com/dedicatedservers.php

All promotions are valid until April 4th or while supplies last.

Any chance we will see Germany?

Jumping on here; the only downtime I had was when my VPS went down a few times in the same week without any clear reason - instead of wasting time on troubleshooting a <1 week old install they just migrated it to another node in less than 1 hour. (That 1 hour is from initial support ticket to migration complete and confirmed successful).
Also also they answered that support ticket in less than 5 minutes on a weekend even though I specified clearly that it was not a critical issue.
    Service defined.

  • I have a dedicated machine with Colo Crossing I bought here. Sending email through that or directly from my Comcast dedicated IP still causes email to not be accepted by Google and probably others even though I have valid reverse DNS and a valid SPF record for both. Wondering what else they want? Dmarc, DKim, something else? I was thinking of just buying a reliable VPS.

You are posting it in a wrong place. Could be IP reputation, could be the way you set up your server. Probably better to open a new thread and explain everything in there.

No, its just how email works with big corporations. Just buy email relay and be done with it.

Idk, the ssh connection closed after running gb6 music cue test so I can't continue. Tried it 2x same behaviour

Run it in screen, so should preserve the result even if ssh is disconnected.

I don't really understand what's that mean, can you elaborate?
I did this in my local terminal: ssh to the dedi then run wget -qO- yabs.sh | bash then the ssh connection lost (disconnected)
