Register365 AUP prohibits "blasphemous" content

Just thought this was interesting and somewhat strange. Have not seen this from other providers. Where do they draw the line?

not post, link or transmit to any of our servers any material which is unlawful, abusive, malicious, threatening, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, blasphemous or otherwise objectionable in any way;

https://register365.com/info/terms/acceptable-use-policy

Thoughts?

    Ask them directly, they (probably) know what they meant writing that.

    Kinda just seems like a catch all to kick a user off if they're hosting sites with something anti-religious that catches the company too much flak. Weird still. The company is based in Ireland and Google says until 2018 and 2019 Ireland's constitution and a separate law made "blasphemy" a crime (which were removed after 2019.) Maybe it's a leftover from that?

    I wouldn't think anything of it.

    They don't want a Charlie Hebdo case on their hands.

    I wouldn't be so worried about the blasphemy part, it's the "otherwise objectionable in any way" part that makes them a hard no.

    Are you saying they're afraid of terrorists so they will accommodate them?

    They're Irish, blasphemy was illegal in Ireland until 2020 and that's been in their terms since at least 2015 (looked at wayback machine)

    edit: Didn't even look at earlier posts before posting, lol

    They don't want to deal with anything inconvenient or become collateral damage.

    Did Ireland only ban Christian blasphemy or Islamic blasphemy as well?

    Any religion (according to Wikipedia)

    In Ireland, "publication or utterance of blasphemous matter", defamatory of any religion, was a criminal offence until 17 January 2020. It was a requirement of the 1937 Constitution until removed after a 2018 referendum.

    Apparently until the Defamation Act 2009, Ireland only banned blasphemy against Christianity.

    The Irish constitutional prohibition against blasphemy was only applicable to Christian blasphemy. The Defamation Act in 2009 extended the prohibition to include other religions as well.
