Looking for “nice” / vanity IP addresses – any tips or providers?
Hi guys,
Random question, but I’m kinda curious 😄
Has anyone here ever gotten or tried to hunt for a “nice” or vanity IP address?
I mean IPs that look clean or have interesting patterns, like:
- 1.1.1.1
- 8.8.8.8
- 3.1.4.1 (pi vibes 👀)
- or repeating / symmetric numbers
I’m currently looking for a VPS/provider that might have these kinds of IPs. Not super important, just for fun (and maybe a bit of aesthetic 😆).
If anyone has:
- gotten a unique/nice IP
- seen patterned IPs
- or knows providers that allow requests
would love to hear your experience.
Also curious:
- did you get it randomly or by request?
- which provider?
- any extra cost involved?
Thanks!

This is more of a thing you get when you buy or lease a subnet, and even then, there are only very few useful combinations and anything "good" is likely recognized as such and already at a premium.
It's unlikely anyone here can help with anything like that. Best you could likely hope for is xx.xx.xx.xx or x.xx.xx.x
I wouldn't mind 6.7.6.7 tbf
6.9.6.9
That actually sounds pretty nice too, especially the x.xx.xx.x pattern 😄
Do you happen to provide something like that, or is it just luck of the draw?
Get an IPv6 address.
It's easier to do vanity there (at least in lower 64 bits).
like:

Figure at the very least five grand for the /24 with that one vanity IP you want.
IPv6 LIR may help
Google has 8.x.x.x and Cloudflare has 1.x.x.x. Maybe hit them up and ask them if they can host a VPS for you with an IP from that range?
LOL
I'd rather go to the bad babe boob cafe.
The closest that I have to this is
2602:f5ef::fe5f:2062, for Freya's nameserver role.No pretty IPv4 here,
142.249.45.8/29, soon to be142.249.45.0/24.I got a 18.88.18.x on aws recently
What country?
us east 1, ec2
Actually, earlier today i got 151.242.242.x from @jfrac (infofractal) which I found kinda cool.
Maybe they would be willing to give you a service with
151.242.242.151or151.242.242.242if you askedCan you share the link?
https://infofractal.io/clients/store/basic-vps
way to long.
I remember getting a "NNN.NNN.0.0" IP for a Scaleway vps
Of course the nicest ones are "NNN.0.0.NNN", because then you can just "ping NNN.NNN" - much short very number
I got a vps with ending .92.92
It is easier with provider like AWS because they have a lot of prefixes.
The serve dead:beef there.
I have 10.56.93.63
It spells LowEnd on the phone keypad.
Proper way to eat beef.
