Hostslick.com clients warning - make backups and find another host
It seems like Maximilian Kutzner aka Hostslick.com is gone for good - with our money.
Prepaid services stopped working about two months ago with no explanation. There's been zero response to tickets since, and no refunds issued.
If your server is still up, I suggest making backups if you haven't already and finding a new host. This one is about to sink if it hasn't already.

The shared hosting server I've had an account at is down since Fri, 13th.
Considering it's NL, hope it wasn't a well-timed night visit from some happy customer.
Host lick wouldn’t do such thing, stop lying

I don't think so ! @HostSlick
I got a response a month and something ago saying "I have escalated this to the technical department to look further into this issue". Not a word since then.
The time to open a PayPal dispute has most likely expired by now.
I'm one step further, awaiting my (funnily calculated) refund via PayPal
Let's see, pretty sad, was a bomba machine, can't complain
I'm genuinely surprised at this post, I thought it was obvious this ship was sinking for quite some time. Maybe I had a clearer view not being a customer, I guess.
To paraphrase another LET gentleman, backup yesterday!
They're online
He’s still alive. He replied to me after a week or so, though the services have been on autopilot for months. He claims to have shifted to bare metal, but I don’t see how this will work out with his current reputation.
Trust me bro 💯
It may not be much consolation for those who are affected, but I've suspended @HostSlick 's Host Rep tag
How did he get it back the last time??? My yearly VPS lasted 1 month and never worked again and refused refund requests.
He completely stopped offering VPS and shared hosting services. For about the past year, he’s been focused exclusively on selling bare metal servers.
Personally, I have 127 servers with him under our own subnets that we resell, and several other resellers are in the same position. He remains very responsive when it comes to dedicated server clients and resellers.
He’s also discontinued all LET deals and low-end service offerings entirely and doesn’t want to be part of it as it caused him more bad rep, losses and headaches with such customers.
Just incase anyone’s wondering
okay
Am I witnessing a dedpool in progress
The $7 BF deal (lifetime DA hosting) is still up
Is he still taking money from LET deals thou? If no, why there are his customers in this thread complaining their service is down? If he is not offering such services anymore, he should refund all his current customers and terminate their services or servers.
If there are still people on cheap deals, and to me it looks like there is, then he didn't discontinue anything, he is just taking their money and offering subpar or no service.
It's sad to see this one go down. This year they would reach 10 years in business, with a banging start on hosting freedom of speech and adult content that I still remember, with great offers for Black Fridays and good support overall. They survived through pandemic, through Chia cryptocurrency, through economic warfare, through MJJs complaining, but it seems AI and its hardware price might be the hardest pill to swallow lately.
Respect for these good 10 years and the effort. It is not their fault for greedy leaders in this world. At least they tried.
EDIT: my hosting plan is also down. If anyone can access services, don't forget to make backups, fast!
It looks like it because their last month's announcement looks positive: https://hostslick.com/clients/announcements/93/HostSlick-Strategic-Update-Full-Focus-on-Dedicated-and-Bare-Metal.html
But existing clients with VPS will not be affected though.
And yes, it is true:
Cheap = Problematic customers
Fair Price = Cool customers
Tested for more than 20+ years already
mine is still up but still shit
didnt't someone in contact with hostslick (and has good corporate relationship) said that hostslick doesn't want to be in VPS business but only dedicated so VPS is lowest in priority?
Why jeopardise your data with hoslick further then?
I really hate merchants like this—they cause users a lot of trouble.
Backup everything.
My shared plan with them is down for a week already.
I just noticed that 😢
Tagging @HostSlick once more – maybe the company has something to say.
Hold your horses now, bro. From what I remember, he was the one who was always a bit shady, advertising his "free speech" services to various suspicious clientele from communities like HackForums (as some here mentioned), having constant outages, disappearing every now and then, and so on.
Sooner or later, you'll get burned and changed your opinion - I just hope it won't be too pricey. Mark my words. So much for "headaches with such customers".
The bad reputation was there, but not because of LET clients who came to the forum to comment that their service was down and that no one was responding to their support tickets. That was the consequence, not the cause.
Are y'all complaining about VPS or Dedicated Servers that cost €300-400/mo each? I have a few servers and honestly I have had no support or operating issues.
Hi,
arent you afraid that you will end up just like the VPS/shared hosting offers?
If i understood it correctly, then people are complaining about missing service even its paid, right?!
IF this is the case, then i am wondering why a company will base their own operations on that kind of unreliable business practice...
It would be a totally different situation, if all contracts would have been cancelled to the end of the running contract period. Not nice for the customers. But at least a clean exit...
Or did i missunderstand here something?
