[WTB] Looking for a US VPS/VDS (Preferably LA) - Native IP for AI Services
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I am currently looking for a US-based VPS or VDS and would really appreciate your recommendations or any direct offers from providers.
Here are my specific requirements:
Location: United States (Los Angeles is highly preferred).
IP: Native US IP. It is strictly required that the IP can unlock and seamlessly access all major AI services (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.). Clean IP is a must.
CPU: At least Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4, or equivalent/better ARM processors. (Dedicated cores are a huge plus).
RAM: As large as possible.
Virtualization: KVM.
Port Speed: No specific requirements.
Traffic / Bandwidth: At least 1TB per month.
Budget: Up to $30/month, depending on the specs (especially the RAM size and CPU performance) and the quality of the IP.
If you have a matching plan or know a reliable provider that fits these criteria, please drop a link or send me a PM.
Thank you so much in advance for your time and help!

Hi, thanks for the offer.
However, you didn't mention my most important requirement: the IP. Can you guarantee that the IP provided is a clean, native US IP that 100% unlocks all major AI services (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)?
Also, I am absolutely not doing an annual payment upfront for a new provider. I would only consider the $30/month plan to test the network, CPU performance, and IP quality first. If the IP is blocked by AI services, is it fully refundable?
Let me know.
@17yuns
As much as we can guarantee a clean, native US IP, we cannot guarantee that the IP will allow you to access all major AI services as majority of them block datacenter IPs.
In your case, you would rather look for a provider offering residential IPs
We can do in Salt Lake City:
2x AMD EPYC
4 GB DDR4
30 GB NVMe
10 Gbps @ Fair Use
DDoS Protection
Hourly Billed
€4.8/month
or €0.0067/hour

Hi @cloudblast, thanks for the offer!
I really like the AMD EPYC performance and the hourly billing model. However, 4GB of RAM is definitely too small for my heavy workloads.
Since my budget is up to $30/month (around €27/month), I'd like to see what your absolute best custom offer would be. What is the MAXIMUM amount of RAM (the bigger the better) and NVMe storage you can squeeze into this $30/month budget?
Also, the ultimate dealbreaker for me: Can you confirm if your Salt Lake City IPs are clean and can seamlessly unlock all major AI services (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)?
Looking forward to seeing your best quote!

Hi @extravm,
Thank you for the offer! I just ran some tests on the IP from your Looking Glass, and it successfully unlocks the AI services I need. A 6-Core Ryzen/EPYC with 16GB RAM for $30/mo in LA is exactly what I am looking for.
However, since the details were quite brief, could you please clarify a few final things before I place the order?
Hardware & Network: What is the exact NVMe storage capacity, monthly bandwidth limit, and port speed for this $30 plan? (I'll be running Docker and databases, so sufficient storage is key).
IP Allocation & Guarantee: How many dedicated IPv4 addresses are included? Do you also provide a /64 IPv6 subnet? More importantly, if the actual assigned IPv4 turns out to be blocked by major AI services, do you provide a free IP replacement or a full refund?
Recurring Price: Can you confirm if this $30/month is a recurring lifetime price, or just a first-month discount?
How to Order: How can I get this exact configuration for $30? Is there a specific promo code or a custom order link?
Looking forward to your reply so we can get this started. Thanks!

Hi @georgedatacenter,
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop this offer! The specs are very solid, and the 16GB RAM with 120GB NVMe is a fantastic combo for the price.
However, to be perfectly honest, 4 vCores is just a bit too small for my specific workloads. Since I've received a few 6-core options in this same $30 budget, I will probably have to pass on this one to get a bit more CPU headroom.
I really appreciate your time and the great offer. Good luck with your sales!
Unfortunately, if you're looking for free IP replacements in the case that your assigned IP gets blocked, or you will want a full refund, no. This isn't something most companies can feasible offer. I will have to retract my offer, sorry.
Hi,
Fair enough, that makes total sense. I apologize if my previous wording was a bit too absolute!
To clarify, I am not asking for a lifetime guarantee. What I meant is simply a "clean on delivery" check. If I place the order and test it immediately upon delivery, and the assigned IP is already blocked out of the box, would it be possible to get just one initial free IP swap?
I fully understand and agree that if the IP gets blocked later down the road during my usage, that is entirely on me, and I will gladly pay the standard fee for a new IP.
If this sounds reasonable to you, I am still very interested in the $30 6-core/16GB plan. Let me know!
Yes.. good to clarify, since LET often has requests for things that mention IP blocks and wanting IP swaps. If you're interested in it send me a direct message, or you can email [email protected]. Otherwise you'll probably have many more offers in the morning since it's overnight in the US.
Sounds like a plan! I have just sent you a direct message to finalize the last few details. Talk to you there, and thanks again!
I believe a residential VPS like qq.pw will be your option. A clean IP means not too many users in the area, so why not get into the Hawaii VPS? May I know where you are trying to connect from?
The home broadband provided by qq.pw is indeed excellent, but that isn't the reason I chose this server; I simply need it to be able to access mainstream AI services.
It 100% can do the job, specifically their VDS
AI providers must be unlocked for residential IP (their true customers)
We can provide the following in NYC:
8 vCore (Xeon Gold 6152)
16gb Ram
120gb Storage
8tb Bandwidth
$20/month or $120/year
You can also start with our $2.50 1core vm to verify reachability before upgrading
Feel free to reach out if you need anything: http://smcvps.com/nyc
Hi @ksoutar,
Wow, thank you for dropping this amazing offer! 8 vCores, 16GB RAM, and 120GB storage for $20/month is an absolute steal, and offering a $2.50 test node to verify the IP is a very smart approach.
However, for this specific project, I am strictly looking for West Coast deployments (specifically Los Angeles) to keep the routing latency as low as possible for my specific target audience. New York would unfortunately add a bit too much latency for my needs.
I have already started a PM with another provider for an LA deployment, but I will definitely bookmark SMCVPS for my future East Coast needs. Thanks again and good luck with your sales!
Hello, Could you please clarify whether the CPU for this plan is shared or dedicated?
8 shared cores.
What is your acceptable CPU usage policy? I plan to use this server for my game server, and CPU usage will increase with the number of players.
Unless you are pinning all 8 cores 100% of the time, you should be fine. Although I would note that we are running Xeon Gold 6152’s in this server, they are decently clocked, but nothing like a ryzen or anything.
Okay, I understand now. Thank you very much for your reply!
Hi,
Melbicom can offer VPS in LA for 31.2 €/month with the following specs:

Hi NexOasis,
Thank you for the offer!
However, I have already secured a deployment for this project. I was able to grab a 6-core AMD EPYC (Zen 4) with 16GB RAM and a 200GB+ NVMe drive in Los Angeles for just $30/month.
Given the massive generational leap in CPU performance for my heavy backend workloads, I’ll have to pass on the older Xeon E5 nodes this time.
I appreciate your time and wish you the best with your sales!
Hey! I saw you found a service provider — could you share which one it is? I’m looking for the same thing. Thanks!
Their? Are you sure about that wording?
