Alexhost.com - Important update for our U1 VPS in Moldova.

This post can be considered an offer or mere information!
Important Update for Our U1 Hosting Users
Starting March 13th, the price for our U1 hosting plan will increase from €4/month to €6/month.
But here’s the good news:
If you order before March 13th, you will lock in the current price of €4/month.
No tricks — just a quick heads-up so you have time to grab the lower price before the change takes effect.
Grab it at the old price now

Why we need to increase the price?
→ The price of RAM has increased. Nothing changes in this configuration for now, but if we need to upgrade or modify the plan in the future, RAM costs are significantly higher.
→ Another reason is that we are investing more in our network, services, products, and support.
→ One of the main reasons is that abuse of extremely cheap plans has also increased significantly.
Note:
We understand that not everyone agrees with this change. However, existing customers will keep their current price, and nothing will change for them.
It will remain possible to purchase the plan at the old €4 price until the announced date.
So if you still want to try it or get a VPS for €4/month, now is the ideal time.
Best Regards,
Alexhost

6 euro/m for 1vcore dusty e5 and 100mbit?

Hmmm...GLWS
Increasing prices for EOL hardware from a DECADE ago...
€6 per month btw
DDR3 as well?
I've still got newer servers available but you haven't updated your sales ticket in awhile....
What?
QEMU Virtual CPU version 2.5+
6eur per month for this is insane.
is this an early april fools joke?
No, it isn't.
We understand that the price can be daunting. But that's what the market demands. Another reason is the constant abuse of cheap plans.
To invest in something better in the future, we need to adjust our prices. If others are doing it, why can't we? We rarely do this. We always try to keep the price the same. But the truth and reality is that everything will increase, just like hard drives. As if RAM weren't enough, the price of hard drives is increasing, which means more costs.
As we said earlier and as is clearly stated in the initial topic, the price will only apply from that date onwards.
If someone buys now, they will buy for €4 and not €6. Existing customers will not be affected. Customers have been and will be notified by email, and we have already published this on our social media.
It is only a matter of time before the €4 plan (which can still be purchased at that price and will remain at that price) is discontinued.

Constant abuse is a rule and limit issue of a host.
lol wow.
I'm not sure what market you're referring to here, but I can promise you that the LET market only demands those specs at €6/year.
Yeah it's patently absurd. @alexhost is selling these low specs and old hardware for more than the big providers at this point.
They must be selling though or he'd have had to adjust pricing lower, not higher.. Fess up who's buying these units?
Better off buying up atoms at this point.
No one on this forum or the OGF lol
You should upgrade your hardware before increasing the price. Also in your unmanaged vps €16/month plan the bandwidth port is 100-Mbps. In your unmanaged €4/month plan has the same speed. Shouldn't the speed increase on expensive plans.
Can you share the output of
lscpu?and U1 plans always out of stock in most locations
I have a vultr server at 6USD which is 3 to 4 times better then this!!
@alexhost what do you mean by "abuse"?
You demand a higher price. The market demands a lower price.
Abuse? Running an
lsin an empty directory would probably spike the CPU to 100% for a minute on that beast of a machine.Charge more for the decent spec machines then.
Because $4/m for that is already excessive in the current market.
You will soon discover that your customer base won't have a reason to tolerate the increase and just leave.
So their renewal price will stay at $4 forever?
If you're going to discontinue these plans anyway (which you should given the specs) then why are you rising the price on them?
good trick, Aprils fools day is coming
Are you guys genuinely retarded at alexhost
Its totally obvious that the current price increase for memory is making it more expensive for them to use the memory they bought 20 years ago, duh.
Bumping disliked offers must be some reverse psychology trick
Ah I didn't even realize this was in offers, read it as a company news/update sorry!
