It looks like this is the new trend, and it will gonna be worldwide. The new control tool.
They can just tweak the algorithm to what to be shown to the kids. But, no. They want the big fish. They want the control under an excuse.
“The consequence of this would be every adult having to provide their personal data, or use their body and biometric features as a key to unlock the internet”.
This is the end...
Hold you breath and count...
I think it's parents job to control their kids, not some random ministers
Will my 7$ per year vps be the last bastion of freedom please? (only half joking as within the last thread about UK also, I talked about how VPS are in threat and I still feel the same way)
Can anyone more experienced/providers talk about it because I feel like there is definitely some way by the UK ministers to abuse these laws against VPS/server providers if they really wanted to. It's written intentionally vague,
Also the song you shared is really good btw. I listen to it sometimes :]
democracy at work!
Oh, and: AMELIA!
All. In the near future, everything will be under the control of local governments. Any like is not in the right place, it's a police outfit and a prison. The era of digital freedom is passing. The global isolation period is starting.
They are already being imprisoned for visiting prohibited resources and sympathizing with the opposite side.
Right. If parents can't handle their kids, that mean the state should intervened on the indication that they were neglected... But that's another rabbit hole.
So, the government made this intervention under assumption parents can't handle their kids. Sooner and later, they will assumed the impairment on other subjects, as such it will restrict personal decisions under the guise of "It's for your own good"
The state of BingBong land (UK) is a joke.
Go watch what actually happens near bars in the UK (mostly in bigger cities). Totally drunk, wasted young girls—some barely able to walk, some sitting half-naked on the street, some vomiting, unable to even speak… but they care so much about the Internet.
That was their own choice; it had nothing to do with us.
if i under 18s,I can prove I am over 18 in many ways.
The rules are jokes
Sure, but the kids aren't objects owned by the parents, they're actual human beings, some parents don't really understand that, so the govt has to step in. Like, I wouldn't trust the government with "handling" my kid, but that doesn't mean I'd fully trust myself either, and there's more people in the government than just me at home, many more eyes on that kid than just mine, that's actually a good thing. But yeah, if you believe in your ability not to screw up, you can fight this shit, it's your democratic right. Majority will dictate policy, as it should be.
