  • @maverick said: It has lost about 20% on average from the initial performance. Pretty good result, IMHO. Based on my previous experience with Genoa, the Turin seems a bit more resilient when pushed.

Hey. Can you do it one more time and share? Pretty please?

Just signed up for the NICE-EPYC Anniversary plan for a full year! Can't wait to test the 9655 Turin performance for my automated video processing project.

    Invoice #86696

Could you please apply the Double RAM & Bandwidth promotion for me?

Since I'm using this for heavy video workflow, any extra NVMe disk space would be greatly appreciated if possible!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to the HostBrr team!

You SHOULD ALWAYS PUT INVOICE NUMBER ASKING DOUBLE OF EVERYTHING EVEN IF NOT MENTIONED IN THE THREAD!

    THAT'S GOLDEN LET RULE.

Remember it. And repeat after me..... "Always ask for double."

can you change mysql engine to innodb, any chance? @labze in da reseller

  • Hello, I normally don't comment on these forums as I mainly just watch... I'd like to mention that I'm extremely happy with the service! This is the most affordable 9950 vds I could find and it's blazingly fast. One of the only providers that adds much memory next to the vcores. Appreciated and I hope it will work out long term :) #87379

You have addon hdd ? This speeds are on the hdd block right ?
EDIT: i saw late your disk info on the yabs. Probably someone is hammering the disk, better write ticket so they can check. I just checked on mine and speeds are the same as 21 days ago.

Even this is way poor compared to modern 7200rpm HDDs. Their storage box gives speed almost 3-5x of this. It feels dead slow.

I also opened the ticket for same recently but ain't getting any reply from them. Likely I have got banned.

    Sequence of events-

I asked @labze on support for option to migrate the 1vcpu 7750x3d 4GB RAM 5TB HDD to a 10gbps node if possible. He agreed but mentioned that the cpu will be a downgraded but network will be an upgrade to 10gbps, I agreed for the deal.

The migration took 14hrs and it was successful.

After migration I found out that the cpu has been downgraded to a different one but network port is still the 1gbps one.

Since then he has not been responding on tickets.

Don't know where did I offend him or violate the terms and conditions.

The hdd was giving almost 70-80MBps on 1m IOPS earlier, now it has gone down to the worst 20-30MBps.

Ain't getting any reply from him:(

Since then he has not been responding on tickets.

Don't know where did I offend him or violate the terms and conditions.

The hdd was giving almost 70-80MBps on 1m IOPS earlier, now it has gone down to the worst 20-30MBps.

Ain't getting any reply from him:(

    Sequence of events-

I asked @labze on support for option to migrate the 1vcpu 7750x3d 4GB RAM 5TB HDD to a 10gbps node if possible. He agreed but mentioned that the cpu will be a downgraded but network will be an upgrade to 10gbps, I agreed for the deal.

The migration took 14hrs and it was successful.

After migration I found out that the cpu has been downgraded to a different one but network port is still the 1gbps one.

Since then he has not been responding on tickets.

Thanks a ton for responding on ticket, and I confirm that the hdd is performing as equivalent to any 7200rpm now, without any issues.

The only issue remains is hardware downgrade.

    Thank you!

Genuine life advice; never do this. There is not ONE single company that will NOT give you the lowest of low prio by behaving like this.

Ah, sorry for that, I knew it wasn't right as I have got the primary issue of hdd speeds fixed. I am sorry for the last text.

The CPU downgrade was in compensation for network port upgrade to 10gbps, network didn't get upgraded and hence the issue. Btw laze is great and he had acknowledged it earlier.

So your ask shoudl be for a better network and not a better CPU?
