S3 alternatives

what are yall using these days when you dont feel like setting up minio or seaweed or garage?

im looking for something cheap that will allow presigned url download. cname is optional, ipv6 is optional but would be nice. would like to pay annually / deposit $20-40 and let it run down. credit card or crypto both ok (no coinbase/bitpay if crypto). don't need more than 1:1 egress, usually less

storj increased my pricing by 50%+ and telnyx appears to have mostly? pivoted to focus on ai phone call answering

    Backblaze B2 is by far the best mix of price/reliability in the arena. $6/TB and very solid.

    Pre-signed URLs work fine.

    tyyyy will give it a try again! last used b2 years ago and it required a pita of proxying b2_download_file_by_name and no 'real' expiring urls or signing was supported

    Currently enjoying a 'rest-server' node running on a $15/y 500GB. Working on a secondary backup.

    Is that S3 compatible or are you offtopic-ing ?

    @amarc

    Seems I misinterpreted "... when you dont feel like setting up minio or seaweed or garage?" as "I don't wish to configure a cluster, what do you setup instead". No, it's not S3 compatible.

    Formerly used Tebi.io, but they're shutting-down/shutdown. Hetzner's S3 worked quite well, although I didn't stress it too much, but I'm frugal so I no longer use it.

    B2, telnyx, mega s4 are some good choices.

    Isn't Telnyx a VoIP provider?

    Never used though

    With recent redesign they have since hidden it away more and more, if you click any of the top menu bar Storage is not even visible anymore in the product list without digging deep.

    It give me the feeling of "all in on AI" pivot rather than treating storage as a core competency.
