[DediRock] Scheduled Node Migration – Today at 3 PM EST

Dear DediRock Family,

We want to inform you of a scheduled maintenance window today at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

The node your VPS is currently hosted on experienced a hard disk failure. There has been no data loss, as the array has remained intact. However, the specific replacement disk model is no longer in stock. To maintain hardware consistency and long-term stability across this cluster, we will be performing a migration to a brand-new node with uniform hardware.

To avoid renumbering and prevent any IP address changes, we will first complete a physical migration of the server chassis. During this process, you can expect approximately one hour of downtime. Once complete, the server will return online and you will regain access to your VM.

Following that restoration, we will begin migrating individual VPS instances to the new node. When your specific VM is being migrated, you will experience an additional downtime window of approximately 20 minutes to one hour. After your migration is complete, updated login details (if applicable) will be provided.

We understand that downtime is never ideal, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. This approach ensures hardware consistency while preventing IP changes and avoiding any data loss.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Warm regards,

Danny Dahl @DediRock
