What can you still do with a 2c1g Windows VM on Azure now?

I got this VPS from a student subscription. Thanks to its specs plus Windows, it's been sitting idle for over a year. I have absolutely no clue what to do with this machine, but letting it sit there feels like a waste. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Sorry for the machine translation🙏

Azure's free tier comes with one Linux VM and one Windows VM. The Linux one runs great and I've got a bunch of stuff on it, but if I reinstall the Windows one as Linux, it'll go over the free limit. That's why I've kept it as Windows.

  • 2vcores and 1GB ram????? and windows on it, how much storage?

The free limit of what? The number of times you can reinstall?

I can't think of any resources that Linux uses more than Windows.

I find Alpine is ideal on 1 GB memory. It gives a lot more breathing room than Debian.
