I am posting this to warn the community about Acck.io.
I recently purchased their service and posted a technical review on a local Chinese forum. Within hours, my service was TERMINATED.
The Excuse:
They claimed I violated their ToS by "leaking the IP address" in an iperf3 screenshot.
The Reality:
This is a complete fabrication used to silence a negative review. I have analyzed their Terms of Service (dated 2024-11-19) and compared it with reputable providers like DMIT.
- Acck.io ToS Analysis: There is NO CLAUSE in their entire ToS that forbids a user from showing their assigned IP address.
- Section 4.1 only requires confidentiality of "username and password".
- Section 10.3 discusses network security (hacking, viruses), not screenshots.
- They invented a "hidden rule" on the spot to kick me off.
- My Take: Real providers (like DMIT, referenced in my comparison) understand that IPv4 addresses with global routing are public by definition.
The Real Reason for Termination:
They banned me because my review exposed that their "1000M" plan is fake/oversold.

IPv4 Propagation:


Upon testing, it shows this VM has no AS17676 (SoftBank) routing for international traffic. The international routes primarily rely on AS174 (Cogent) and AS3356 (Level 3). For traffic to/from Mainland China, it uses AS17676 (SoftBank) for both inbound and outbound (tested with regular small packets only; large packets were not tested).
1000M Plan Speed Test:

iPerf3 to DMIT Tokyo Tier1:

The tests were routed via AS23640 (BBIX Tokyo). As you can see, the "1000M" plan struggles to push past 300-400Mbps. This suggests severe false advertising (or an extreme hard cap).
300M Plan Speed Test:

In comparison, the 300M plan is able to fully saturate its bandwidth. Comparing the two, it is hard not to suspect that the actual uplink on the host node might be limited to just 300Mbps, regardless of the plan.
Conclusion:
This is essentially a generic international BGP box that happens to have SoftBank routes for China. However, when focusing on international BGP quality, the performance is disappointing.
What is the use of having good China routes if the international connectivity and advertised speeds don't deliver?
More importantly, they are a hostile provider. If you post a review revealing their poor performance, they will scour your post for any excuse (like "IP leaking"—which isn't even in their ToS) to terminate your service without a refund.
Stay away.

I know but this merchant seems a twin of akile.io which I've spent over 3000CAD on. Akile.io has a similar 1000M unlimited plan in Hong Kong which works perfect for me (therefore I want to try the JP one on it's twin website)
Did they refund you? They must refund you if they terminated you without cause. Otherwise you can do a credit card chargeback.
I think no one outside of nodeseek recognizes this provider.

I don't think we have any acck/akile.io representative on LET.
Me (and @Rubben ) have used acck.io for some time in the past and it was alright. I do not understand their behavior here. Have you tried contacting them via email or ticket and asking what was the reason for account termination?

Thank you for contacting LowEndSupport. We are sorry to hear that this provider cannot offer a Japanese server with unlimited traffic, capable of running at 1Gbps speeds at any time, for less than $10 per month.
It's seems that this VPS provider reportedly used an excuse to retaliate and deleted the server outright — that alone is reason enough to stay away. Moreover, on LET, almost nobody seems to use these ultra-cheap providers that mainly cater to traffic-heavy workloads

Your screenshot shows you got 581Mbps at one point. Clearly it's a 1000Mbps with some contention.
The plan name contains the word SHARE before the speed, and you're on a VPS where you'd expect to share resources.
You got what you paid for. Stop whining.

Also, getting ~400Mbps average on a 1Gbps port at 7:00 AM (off-peak) is terrible performance, even for a shared VPS. "Shared" doesn't mean "oversold to death."

What do you expect, as an average, on a 1Gbit shared port? Specifically because it's off-peak, perhaps other users are running backups or other network intensive procedures to not disturb the traffic during peak hours. It's easy to be selfish while purchasing a non-dedicated 100% service.
You could've done a test each hour for 24 hours and see if the average is truly XXX Mbps. Drawing a conclusion of an average on a sample of one is ... incorrect.
The provider is an asshole 100% for terminating your service without notice, no doubt in that. But your review and expectations are not fair either.
I agree with you, it's shared not dedicated. However, this means the traffic aren't rationed according to advertised speed, which resulted in this contention. Or perhaps it's because network-heavy neighbor. And it's pretty much guaranteed considering there's 7.9K mjj in that channel

I agree it seems bad for them to cancel them, but there was no reason for you to be posting publicly saying their service was terrible when it is in line with reasonable expectations.
The port is shared. If there were 2.5 of you using that 1000Mbps port, you'd get 400Mbps on average. And on occasions, you got 581Mbps from it. That's 1.72 people maxing it.

I mean I've terminated for a review before (not JUST a review, but it was the final straw). But there's nothing wrong with just saying that's the reason. If someone is giving you problems AND they set out to damage your business, why would you do business with them? Just say it out loud, no shame.
Yikes. I've bought from providers who had bad reviews before, but hearing a provider admit to banning for them? That's a legitimately awful, oppressive business tactic and I'm adding MXRoute to my list of do-not-purchase-ever providers.
Absolutely. It's profoundly disgusting and I did not expect to hear that coming from him. This is the kind of thing that should be brought up in any thread where that service is advertised to warn potential customers.
Whether or not the person who was kicked out did other things expulsion-worthy, a bad review should never factor into the decision, and to say it should with no shame shows a disreputable mindset.

Reading their response to 1 star reviews on TrustPilot and their behavior on Reddit is telling. All of the negative reviews are calling out the owner's behavior, and all of the responses are rude, sarcastic, or belittling. Whether or not the people giving bad reviews abused the service, the responses certainly seem to justify the common sentiment that support is generally hotheaded and rude. Consistently responding to people in a sarcastic and passive aggressive tone weakens their position.
That the owner openly boasts that he factors in reviews in his termination decisions certainly matches up with this behavior.

I checked OP iperf3 IP and it shows the IP belongs to AS906 DMIT Cloud Services in Shinagawa (Higashishinagawa), Tokyo, Japan. I suspect acck.io is just reselling DMIT vps
Was reading through the trustpilot 1-stars, wow. In addition to the aggro behavior you mentioned, some other highlights from MXRoute:
Allegations that MXRoute left fake reviews on customer businesses in retaliation from him receiving a bad review on MXRoute. I would not ordinarily believe this, but the various unprofessional responses from MXRoute's side makes this allegation more believable. That, and apparently someone on reddit dug out his personal trustpilot account and it seems like he is indeed leaving negative reviews on companies who use his service. Here is one retaliatory review:
Wow 🤣 First, this is a crazy level of spite that is completely incongruous with how large a provider MXRoute seems. How is it even worth his time to go way out his way to do something like this? Second, it's very unlikely he's been a legitimate customer of this hypnotherapy business and thus is probably breaking trustpilot TOS. Trustpilot isn't a social networking site, it's a review site, and if you haven't been a customer, you're not supposed to review. And you're certainly not supposed to leave retaliatory reviews.
Apparently he denied a GDPR deletion request (wtf?!) and when the customer attempted to manually edit out his info from the customer portal MXRoute banned him for "sabotage." It is surprising how brazen he is about this -- even if you're not located in EU, you can get blocked from the EU market so it is a bad idea to not at least try to honor such requests (besides it is good policy to respect customer wishes regarding data).
At first I thought maybe it was just that he has difficulty hearing and handling criticism (a difficult skill to be sure), but the more I read, the more I think it goes deeper.
Stop being a drama queen. I said it was the last straw, not the only reason. Who in the world would continue doing business with someone who constantly berates you in support tickets and THEN actively tries to tell other people to avoid you? That's a toxic asset, not a customer. This isn't Walmart, you don't get to walk in and scream at me and then still demand that I do business with you.
My whole business strategy is not removing the humanity from it, that's not new. People like to yell at machines. Some people think people who represent companies are machines that they can abuse with impunity. If you think that might be you, then you've learned where not to shop. Not a fake review. I did business with him, I am allowed to review people I do business with. I will never buy the "You own a business so you have to keep your mouth shut while everyone else gets to berate you in public" philosophy. Don't like it? That's your right, I'm not going to change because you don't.
The user requested we delete all financial data before taxes were even filed and threatened legal action he had no standing for, and Europe has no jurisdiction in Texas.

I'm not going to sit here and watch you put years of my life under a microscope because you failed to read my words in their entirety before jumping to emotional reaction. Ridiculous. Do better.
