Looking for a 512 GB RAM Dedicated Server

I am currently using two physical servers, each configured with a Ryzen 9950X processor, 192 GB of RAM, and 2×2 TB storage, and I am paying €179.99 per month for each server.
However, these configurations are no longer sufficient for my needs, particularly due to RAM limitations.

Therefore, I am planning to move to a single physical server with 512 GB of RAM and a processor that is equal to or more powerful than my current setup.
Preferred server locations are Germany, Austria, or France.

Additionally, I am currently using 49 active IP addresses and plan to obtain more IP addresses in the new setup.
I understand that IP addresses are subject to separate pricing, so having them listed separately in the offer would be perfectly fine.

I am open to receiving offers, but I would like to note that my budget cannot significantly exceed my current total cost.

    Hi,

there is basically no hardware out there that can deliver this for this pricing.

    https://www.cpubenchmark.net/single-thread/

As you can see 9950X is 4700 benchmark points per single core.

The only way to get close to this would be to get a Threadripper of the latest generation with DDR5.

Such a system will probably be significantly more expensive than 2x 180 EUR.

Especially you wont have many choices. The providers who offer threadripper are quiet low in numbers as its more or less exotic hardware.

So please clarify what exactly you mean with equal or more powerful. In terms of compute power? Single core? Multi core? Number of cores? Or something else?

  • It will be tough to get comparable performance to 2 servers with 9950x. 9950x offers really good for high frequency single core performance. So it will be hard to match unless you go for Genoa or even Turin but that would be way over budget.

Maybe this is the closest for the price of 2 x €179.99
    Server.net
    AMD EPYC 7C13
    512GB Ram
    2 x 960 GB Ent NVMe Hardware Raid 1
    2 x 3.84 TB Software Raid 5
    1Gbit Unmetered (2x10G Port)
    Amsterdam, NL
$287/m for the first 3 months then $409/m

    Hi,

We have a few 9275Fs available, but in terms of single-core benchmarking, the 9950X(3D) is of course significantly better.

    Thanked by 1concept

It will be used for Plesk hosting and mostly for Windows RDP machines. On the RDP machines, general office tasks are performed, with heavy browser usage.

    Hi,

for this kind of use case, using CPU's with high single core power is actually a good idea.

So remaining with AMD Ryzen will be of benefit for the RDP user experience.

Maybe renting a 3rd server would make more sense.
3 servers would also have the advantage of a higher redundancy.

But you will know yourself what makes sense for your business.

Since its for business i assume you will anyway test the hardware first before you change your infrastructure.

Good luck with the path finding!
