Who else did the renewal of 1 year for KS-LE-B? I'm still thinking but not sure worth it.

I was thinking of it, hence I killed my KS-B-5 order.
To reinvest the money asap into KS-B.

However, I was in haste, apparently there is no KS hike.
So we probably gonna burn 26$ just to check what HW the KS-B-5 has to just get more angry at myself to see it has only 16gig and I spend 26$ to check it.

Personally, I think there is more chance of getting upgrades in the 64GB model; 16GB and 32GB ones have never been seen before, so they're building them order (basically will always be right).

There is a slim chance with a 64GB, but worth a go, maybe, idk.

Happy lottoing, back in hibernation till OVH tell me they're raising more prices. For all server enquiries, please contact my dealer @Zeniic.

What are the odds its not 16GB?

    Minimal

That I can't answer, just risked my account and asked how they can justify a 55% increase on VPS....

  • Looks like KS and SYS is spared for now

  • RE VPS

tldr; f*ck old customers so we can get new ones

It's impossible to find the equipment to offer the prices we had.
Overall, the servers are twice as expensive because we
buy the hardware without RAM and add it internally. Instead of
a 100% price increase only for new
customers, we prefer to increase the price by 50% for all customers.

I know it doesn't seem "fair," but it's the only way
to make the new equipment affordable.

I went through my KS-B baguettes.
2024 KS-B can subscribe without paying upfront.

I locked in my KS-B in Frankfurt for 9.50€ ish, 11.10$/m.

For VPS, "+50% on the VPS 2026, we don't touch the old VPS" range https://x.com/olesovhcom/status/2025256225718313154

We should nail them down on vps-1 etc. being a 2025 model, not a 2026 one (look at the url in the vps configurator or in the api, e.g. "planCode=vps-2025-model1") So in Octaves words this is old gear not to be touched...

I have a rise bare metal E-2388G 64gb does that mean no increase?

  • The problem is why OVH wants us to pay extra for existing servers that is already running in prior to the RAM price hike? It is not "fair", just charge the new customers, not the old ones.

My KS-Mystery with it's 2x1.92TB NVMe 128GB of RAM and the E5 Broadwell's value and worth just doubled.

Prices are never going to go down. Not until several bubbles pop.
