OVH VPS Price Hike

Dear Customer,

We are reaching out to let you know about a pricing update on a limited set of OVHcloud VPS and Additional IP addresses. This will apply on your subscription’s renewal date, provided it falls on or after Wednesday, 1 April 2026.

The pricing update applies to:

VPS 2026 range (VPS-1 to VPS-6) and VPS in Local Zones.
Additional IPv4 addresses.
This pricing update does not apply to the Kimsufi and So You Start server ranges. Service performance, availability, and support levels will also not change.

Please find the detailed pricing updates below.

Product New price (ex. VAT/month)
VPS-1 US$7.60
Additional IPv4 /32 US$2.39
In recent months, the cost of essential hardware components has increased, driven by growing demand for computing, AI, and data-intensive workloads, combined with limited global production capacity of key hardware components, notably RAM and NAND memory used in storage drives.

While we continue to optimise wherever possible, and this adjustment allows us to maintain a reliable and consistent platform over time and affects only a targeted selection of servers.

Against this backdrop, we continue to invest in designing and operating our own infrastructure, diversifying our supply chain, and planning for long-term capacity. The rapid growth of AI and GPU-driven workloads is reshaping how cloud platforms are built and scaled, and we are actively adapting our infrastructure to support these new demands.

Our priority remains to deliver predictability, transparency, and long-term stability. We are committed to helping our customers innovate, scale, and keep control of their data within a trusted and sustainable ecosystem

Thank you for choosing OVHcloud.

Best wishes,

The OVHcloud Team

  • I was looking to OVH to host an Mailcow instance for my email, seems that I need to change the provider. Pricing is not a plus anymore.

Their ASN is blocked in spamhaus and uceprotect. Not ideal.

  • That's a 55% increase for VPS-1 and a 41% increase for Local Zone VPS-1. That's too much for me, I'm cancelling those.

That's quite an increase.. I wanted to buy a new VPS at OVH this weekend but I scrapped that plan. Going to wait for the Netcup deals now..

  • Was that sent out by OVH US or OVH CA (World/$)?

  • @Chocoweb said: allows us to maintain a reliable and consistent platform over time

So a ~50% price increase for products in alpha state that are sometimes down 25% of a month in some localzones?

Hetzner, Netcup and Webtropia are all stable and reliable products. Atm I would not add OVH VPS in localzones to that club.

  • I hope they will not increase eco servers price :|

The hardware they build these on has likely increased 500% over the last 6 months.

Good thing they bought them years ago then.

@OVHcloud my local zone vps have been beyond shitty, your support is totally clueless about it and they suck (the VPS, not you, I'm angry but I'm still sophisticated)

Just now, I accidentally restarted one instead of reinstalling it, now it's stuck in "Restarting..." even though it restarted just fine, and so I cannot reinstall it because your control panel thinks it's restarting when it's not

Previously I had I don't remember how much downtime (I'd say about 1-2 weeks but I cba to check the ticket right now) and had to reply back and forth with your support who demanded lots of checks with waits in-between (he indicated it was protocol for him to be allowed to escalate the ticket, so I don't blame him, I blame your internal guidelines when the VPS simply doesn't work, you need to monitor this and take ownership, not have me work against your procedures to get what I paid for to be online)

And now you want to charge me more for it? Brudda get outta here

Your non local zone VPS I've had a decent experience with though to be fair

Also I'm so tired of you coming back every now and again and pretend you care about feedback when I've been reporting major bugs for years with nothing back while they remain in production

I bet many others will do.

And that will additionally heat up the market.

I'll be using relay so I don't care about that.

  • Just received a similar email from them. Still thinking about renewing or not.

  • shall we keep the OVH vps or purge? this price increase is way too high suddenly!

You may renew and order for the same price whole May. 12 month contract and after that cancel. That’s why they notified so early.

This is it, good times over. If during that 1 year hardware crysis will not resolve, just move elsewhere. There thousands of providers. Remember scaleway?

Why not use that relay directly for mailbox as well? Low-specs?

This. There was talk as early as last November, the OVHcloud CEO openly said prices might go up to 10%, then two weeks ago, gossip was 40%. This email is more than fair warning what is and will be going forward from April.

All one has to do is commit to at least 1-2 years at the same current rate.

Expect price increases across the board, as AI demands more hardware and heavy divestment away from the US. At least OVH is being upfront about it.

Their Q1 is going to do well.

  • Thought about buying additional Ips, plans canceled for now :(

Their normal vps range should be pretty good, no?
I have good uptime for the vps in Canada and Singapore

    Okay time to switch.

  • Switched a few of my VPS1s to 1 year prepayment that should take effect next renew cycle before April 1st. I hope they dont cancel them or try some kind of upcharge. Then i can !remind me in 1 year

You can force renew. Contract will update, so pay before April.
