Hello everyone,
I am looking for reliable, high-quality VPS providers with locations in the EU or UAE. I have purchased many servers in recent months, but I keep running into the same frustrating issue: strict, unmanageable firewalls that falsely flag and block my legitimate traffic (specifically ICMP packets).
I am looking for a provider who gives me control over the firewall, or is willing to disable the network-level firewall/DDoS mitigation rules for my IPs upon request.
My Requirements:
Locations: Europe (Germany, Netherlands, UK, France, Finland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, etc.), Turkey, or UAE.
Budget: Up to $10/month per server (willing to pay based on network and hardware quality).
Network Test: A Looking Glass or a Test IP is strictly required so I can check latency before purchasing.
Firewall: Must be able to disable the firewall or specifically whitelist/allow high volumes of ICMP traffic without false-positive blocks.
My Experience so far:
Huge shoutout to Novahost, Datalix and Tube-Hosting – their support was fantastic and they disabled the firewall for me without any headaches. Highly recommended!
Note: Please do not suggest Prepaid-Host. While their premium network is great, they offer zero control over the firewall, which makes it unusable for my specific use case.
If you are a provider who can accommodate this, or if you know a solid host that fits these criteria, please drop your offers, test IPs, or recommendations below!

Unfortunately not, I don't give access to any hardware level firewalls. Thanks though.
@MikeA, there was a slight mistake in my text. They just disabled the firewall for my IP, which is exactly what I need!
If you just need any filtering turned off I can, basically, However all of the systems run filtering on the NIC via XDP filters, which can't be disabled. However it's unlikely these would be a problem, plus those don't touch ICMP anyways and you mention ICMP specifically. I only have one European location though and that's Netherlands.
