Here's the benchmark and review of my new @lnx / Linveo Texas VPS, based on a bit over 30 runs during about 24 hours.

My focus here is pretty much on connectivity only (as in "if connectivity is good I'll accept even a crappy processor and a mediocre SSD"), which may be quite different from your focus, but hey you get all the numbers so you can easily see for yourself.

Spoiler alert: this VPS while not great in every regard does not have a crappy processor nor a mediocre SSD.

Europe - I didn't compare the results to my other Texas VPSs yet but I really like what I see. Very decent indeed.

Asia / Oceania - half-cooked in my (strongly Europe centric) view. webwerks India not even 25 Mb/s? Really poor. Singapore about 50 Mb/s and Hongkong about 65 Mb/s isn't great but OK I guess. China almost 50 Mb/s is quite decent and so are about 65 Mb/s to Japan and Straya with about 70 Mb/s.
All in all not the right VPS if connectivity to Asia is important for you.

Africa - Similar. A few quite nice results but also a few complete failures.

Americas - YAY! One of the not so many VPSs in NA with really decent connectivity in the region! As that happens to be my main interest with this VPS I'm really happy with what I see, especially when considering the cheap-ish price.

Summary / verdict: if good connectivity within NA along with still very decent connectivity to Europe is what you're looking for and you can live with mediocre processor performance this VPS might be a really good choice, especially at the promo price.
If good Asia connectivity also is important to you I suggest you look elsewhere.

CAVEAT (for me in fact almost a show stopper): the rebates do not apply for yearly but only for monthly!
