Seems like the case. Anyway, globalping probe is not working great on this machine.
I’m interested in Tunisia - who are you using there?
I know @JohnFilch123 has something there. Not sure how reliable.
Ok as a Bangladeshi i will suggest few bangladeshi provider from my friendlist.
Huh??
We do not offer NAT in Nigeria and have never sold NAT plans in that region.
Our NAT plans tend to run on a server dedicated to NAT, we unfortunately do not have such capacity in Nigeria and have thus never set up a NAT node so I am very curious where you got a NAT server from within our infrastructure?
We even offer IPv6 BGP directly from Nigeria which is very easy to prove where our POP is so not much to be said in that regard.
Now, we do offer 3 different subnets for IPv6 in Nigeria, RIPE, ARIN and the other belonging directly to us allocated by AFRINIC. Neither of the leased subnets would show DE let alone Hetzner so your sources of information are also very curious.
However, if you are on our Nigeria server, simply ping ANY other member of IXPN in Lagos and use that as your guide
EDIT:: Now I think about it, you probably have a IPv6-Only plan with a cross-site IP
The cross-site IP gateway is hosted with OVH in France. The cross-site IP will also give a IPv6-Only server native IPv4 connectivity so you can reach github etc, but it is not a NAT service and cannot be used as such.
Ya probably this one. I may be wrong re NAT just because I have quite a few servers and do not remember all the configurations. However, IPv6 leads back to Hetzner DE and not OVH FR, checked with globalping traceroute.
Pretty reliable, was down for a little while around 2 weeks ago and this is the first downtime since summer 2025. But it is OVZ container(
For spoofed North Korea, I can explain the principle.
They use HE TunnelBroker. This service feeds your registration info as the location for your assigned routed IPv6. Then, by using F12 during registration, you can set the address to North Korea, Cuba, or Antarctica. This gives you a North Korean, Cuban, or Antarctic IPv6 that works on any VPS.
Since Cloudflare WARP feeds basically every country in the world, connecting to it through an IPv6 from these regions gives you a corresponding IPv4 address. This is a common trick used by Chinese vendors. Since Chinese social media displays user IP locations, they use this method to get a unique IP location for their accounts.
It’s normal that you can’t find it, because it’s spoofed. See the previous reply for details. Cloudflare trusts HE’s geofeed, and HE’s geofeed can point to any location.
I still have a rig in Abkhazia (although since they're not recognized by most countries that are recognized internationally the IP range is Panamanian. Great speeds to Turkmenistan. They really jacked up prices though. Still, exservers.net
If it's not even a country it has to be pretty exotic. Also they have Iran but I'm gonna wait that sale out for now.
I found THE.HOSTING which allegedly has a few less common locations:
Yerevan - Armenia: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-armenia-yerevan
Almaty - Kazakhstan: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-kazakhstan-almaty
Skopje - North Macedonia: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-north-macedonia-skopje
Luxembourg: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-luxembourg
Geneva - Switzerland: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-switzerland-geneva
Belgrad - Serbia: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-serbia-belgrad
Oslo - Norway: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-norway-oslo (sold out?)
Kishinev - Moldova: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-moldova-kishinev
Budapest - Hungary: https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-hungary-budapest
Vaduz - Liechtenstein https://the.hosting/en/vps-vds-liechtenstein-vaduz (First time I see it)
In theory the have good reviews on ServerVerify, so they shouldn't be a scam
they are dodging sanctions, because its actually a russian company if i remember this correctly
Edit:
https://krebsonsecurity.com/2025/09/bulletproof-host-stark-industries-evades-eu-sanctions/
they renamed multiple times
Ya the hosting=pq hosting=not recommended.
IIRC they also spoof locations and their servers aren’t always located where they say they are.
ServerVerify is AI garbage.
If you want a somewhat-bulletproof Russian host with a lot of exotic locations that are actually real (except for Albania, which apparently was recently switched to a spoofed location due to getting kicked out of their Albanian datacenter), go with 4vps.su instead.
For Albania, they have been using Albahost for a while now which resells servers from a couple providers in Germany but they also do have some Host.al servers.
I thought Albahost used servers in the Netherlands, not Germany.
While they do have some servers that are actually in Albania, I don't think 4vps.su uses those. If they do switch to genuine Albanian servers for their Albania location, I'll definitely buy from them. Until then, the only location I have from them is in Greece.
Yeah..
So basically if you buy Albania vps from 4vps, it will be on one of Albahost servers. Albahost has servers in Albania, Netherlands, Germany and even Poland too. So if you buy one of 4vps Albania, you won't know which location you will get until you receive the IP and do a test. But I think its most likely going to NL (Tube-Hosting) or Germany (dataforest) since that is what they have most in stock. It basically becomes a spoofed location roulette.
Their genuine Albanian locations are on a separate (and more expensive) plan, so I suspect that 4vps is not reselling a mixture of cheap and expensive plans for the same price. But I could be wrong.
Unfortunately their only very cheap location are their heavily-discounted Russian servers, but they turned out to be subject to severe censorship. I couldn't even access the Debian repository or Google DNS, much less anything I actually needed to access. Just to resolve domains, I had to switch to the Yandex DNS service, and support struggled for quite some time to understand that there was censorship going on, as they were adamant that they themselves had not installed any filters (which is probably true). They did refund me to store credit so that I could buy a VPS in another location, though, which worked out fine.
Looking through their prefixes that are geolocated as Albania by 4vps.
Actual Location: Albania
https://bgp.tools/prefix/45.89.60.0/24#connectivity
https://bgp.tools/prefix/157.22.240.0/24#connectivity
Actual Location: NL (Tube-Host)
https://bgp.tools/prefix/78.159.131.0/24#connectivity
https://bgp.tools/prefix/147.45.221.0/24#connectivity
Regarding, Russian censorship.. yea I saw your post about it. Unfortunate situation, good that they refunded you for it.
Actual Location: Albania

Interesting. Perhaps I could ask them to put me on one of the genuine Albanian subnets.
Is it real Greece? How is performance?
It really is Greece according to IPInfo, which is usually accurate since it relies on latency probes rather than only the geofeed. I posted the YABS here. CPU is mediocre but disk and network are good. It cost 4435₽/y (~$58/y), which is quite nice for the location, especially considering it comes with unmetered bandwidth.
I think they have got a standard price for a lot of locations. I was kind tempted to get Greece as well but got Kemerovo one for (I think) $15/y...pretty nice and Ryzen 9 7950X under the hood.
Kemerovo was the one I got that was refunded. Great performance, if only I could access sites besides mail.ru.
I'm considering getting UAE and AU from them, since unmetered bandwidth there is really hard to come by for any reasonable price.
To me, it looks like 4VPS is trying to attract people, only to then realize that you can't do anything with Kemerovo and you have to use one of the other location/expensive plans. I initially intended to go with Kemerovo, but ended after the refund with (expensive) Croatia
.
At least Croatia running stable so far, but like you in Greece, I also have the E5-2697A v4, which I find rather expensive considering the hardware. But there aren't many alternatives for Croatia (?).
I don't think they're doing it intentionally considering how baffled the support seemed. Another person here also has their Kemerovo VPS and apparently they aren't having any serious issues. It's just a matter of Russia having a rather locked-down internet due to the war.
And yeah, the CPU isn't great, but it's enough for me. Their main selling points are unmetered bandwidth, diverse locations, and not giving a shit about abuse complaints.
It wasn't meant to be taken entirely seriously. If I already have money/account with them, then the hurdle is definitely lower for me to try out another location
.
I have Novosibirsk from justhost, and as far as I can tell, only Meta's services are blocked there. I just thought it would be similar in Kemerovo, which it isn't.
I have Novosibirsk from them as well. It seems that sometimes jsdelivr and GitHub are blocked, but not always. Likewise the Tor directory authorities are sometimes blocked, but not always. Other than that, they seem fine.
They are always sold out when I check
