Honest Review of ReliableSite.Net

When i was looking for a dedi server for the first time @emperor did recommend me @ReliableSiteHosting for a dedi server in NYC for a

Rapid Deploy Server - Intel Special 32 GB (PNJ)
Intel Quad Core i5/i7/Xeon
32 GB RAM
1TB SSD
5TB BW @ 1Gbps
New York City Metro Data Center

what i got was:

i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
32GB RAM
1TiB SSD
1Gbps @ 5TiB BW
for $19/mo

For a first dedicated server experience, it has been solid so far.
Running Proxmox VE 9.0.11 with a Windows 11 Pro VM at 3840×2160 (4K) or 5120×2160 (5K) using virtio-gpu. Debian, Ubuntu, and other Linux VMs also run without issues.
Been using it for about a month now; the server expires in a few days.

Pros:

  • Excellent Support
  • Good UI panel
  • extremely stable and good ping/tracehop (11 hops) to my server (90-100ms) (Northern Bay Area (Xfinity) -> NJ (Xfinity) -> NJ (ReliableSite) )

Cons:

  • No Ipv6 included by default (Not an issue for me) (unless you request one iirc)
  • Disk I/O is decent (SATA SSD)
  • Older CPU platform

The thing i like about ReliableSite is how they are directly peering with my ISP AS7922 (Xfinity/Comcast)

at the end of the day, would consider ordering again if I need another backend node
