looking for Minecraft VPS/VDS in Asia
budget is painful, but this is a community project so I can’t throw money at it
Specs:
2~4 vCPU (GB5 ~2000+)
16GB RAM
200GB disk (the more the better)
1Gbps port, 5TB+ bandwidth
IPv4 included

Ideally $30/mo or less
Can stretch to $40/mo max if performance is really worth it
Locations:
HK / JP / SG preferred

What about getting the free tier ARM slice from Oracle Cloud? You'll have to migrate to PAYG and get the $100 temp charge to your credit card, but the server itself is free and it matches your requirements.
thx for the suggestion! minecraft is very single-core heavy and OCI ARM isn’t quite enough, my budget should cover decent x86 but high-clock APAC CPUs are rare, so I’ll probably wait if nothing good shows up.

Thx,this looks like a typical Leaseweb-style setup—I’ve tried similar configs before and the Geekbench 5 scores were about half of what I need, so unfortunately it won’t meet my Minecraft performance requirements.
@Yukim Is 16GB RAM the minimum you can use? I could do something in Singapore but it's really at the max of your (stretched) budget if you need 16GB. Have EPYC 4584PX (9950X alt) in Singapore which is 3000~ GB6 single thread. But of course in a shared VPS environment you won't get 100% benchmark scores.
Yes, 16GB is pretty much the bare minimum for my setup. Even after some basic optimization, it still sits around ~14GB RAM usage during peak hours, and the CPU can spike to high usage for short periods.
I’m looking for better single-core performance to improve player experience. The current node is an EPYC 9755 with ~1600 GB5 single-core, and I’ve attached the resource usage screenshot.Regarding shared VPS, I totally understand I won’t get full benchmark performanc.
4584PX sounds very interesting—could you share what pricing you’d be able to offer for a 16GB plan in Singapore?

thx, I’m definitely interested. This is right at the top of my budget though, so I’d like a bit of time to think it over before committing.

Thx all, I’ve grabbed a server that fits my needs. Appreciate the help!
Who did you decide to go with? 🫣
I went with H4F and ExtraVM. I’ll run them for about a month to test the SLA and then decide which one to keep long term.
