looking for a obscure and rare vps locs
Specs:
1vcore
512MB-1GB ram
10-20GB NVMe storage
100Mbps to 1Gbps port (1TB minimum)
$7-20/yr
for location, i do not want common mainstream locs like LA/SJ/SFO/TKO/OSA or anywhere that is mainstream. I just want extremely rare locations that is hidden or just rare. (nearby citys)
For example, anywhere outside SFBA (SJC/SFO) and SoCal (LA mostly). Secondary cities in NorCal, rural Europe, or Asia outside Tokyo/Seoul/Shanghai/Beijing.
I also check the IP rep hardly like if a IP has resi/busi/hosting i will check that.
+3 near Northern California (Not South California (Like LA) i have a better ping near Northern Bay Area under 10ms)
+2 in rural Europe or asia
+1 nearby pop citys
+0 just why? (no fumo for u)
If there are any providers near the Northern Bay Area, please DM me; otherwise, EU/Asia is fine.

Comments
OVH has Palo Alto location, which is California Bay Area and not SJC/Fremont/SFO. Works fine for me.
Palo Alto is more closer to San Jose then to San Francisco but it's still in the SFBA and OVH main site only lists Canada - East - Beauharnois (For VPS). I'm not sure where OVH even lists Palo Alto. Is there a link i can check since the main site does not list any locations in the United States or California.
Edit: i was on the global site but i found it (US ver) but it seems to be OOS atm
There are some providers with servers in HE Fremont, CA
too many providers in Fremont. so ill have to pass on it. since it's semi-popular and most providers are marked as Hosting and not Business iirc
@SmartHost has multiple CA pops IIRC, maybe one of them is what you're after?
@ComputeBox has obscure Europe regions (Bremen is not your usual Dusseldorf/Frankfurt). @SmokyHosts launched a new Norway pop that's not apparently in Oslo but elsewhere. @gigahost started offering VPS in Norway as well.
@SoftShellWeb might still have Taiwan servers if you're after asia.
@Virtury has a Pakistan POP. Haven't seen them post in a while but I am happy with the service.
i checked SmartHost but it doesn't say what city though, it mostly says North or South.
i have a vps from @ComputeBox in Bremen and im fine with it atm, specs are decent.
SoftShellWeb Taiwan bandwidth is limited but is interesting.
Pakistan POP is interesting but not looking for it atm
California North is 3223 Kenneth Street, Santa Clara, CA 95054-3444. IP/LG:
136.0.228.26 / ca2.smarthost.net
All conveniently on the website.
Which, from the looks of it, is still South Bay Area and not as far north as the name would imply.
Kosovo, Luxembourg, Austria also not that common
@rarecloud do have resi IPs in Romania
@nikio Thank you for the reference.
@Fubukibox For your budget, if it has to be in rare locations, we can offer IPv6 only VPSs in Kansas City, USA and/or Norway. Since the locations are rare, the IPv4 IPs in these locations cost more than your entire yearly budget.
If you can increase your budget, you can refer to our Norway region launch campaign thread for a IPv4 VPS.
You can order the below IPv6 only VPS in Kansas city, USA for $7/yr

Hi there,
We can offer you our L512M plan on AMD Ryzen 7950x/9950x, DDR5 RAM, 10Gbit port, 5x FREE backup slots in Spokane, WA or Coventry, UK, or Eygelshoven, NL
You can check out the looking glass here https://spk-lg.layer.ae - if any of these locations interest you, let me know and I'd be happy to help out
Kosovo: https://rscomputers-ks.com/
I can host you in my backyard for 1 Reimu/year
My first thought was Laos/Svalbard/San Francisco/Tokyo/Osaka
What do you consider "Rural Europe"?
@Hosteroid has many cool locations in Europe (Vilnius, Vienna, Tirana, Bratislava, Bucharest) and currently they're on promo for not a lot above your budget (with better specs).
I have Kosovo rscomputers-ks (and north macedonia).
Luxembourg used to be BuyVM before moving to Switzerland or the Netherlands.
Austria, isn't Netcup there? I frequently see it on the YABS but never verified if that's the actual location.
Also Pipehost @MattBGP and Hosteroid mentioned before.
It's very uncommon to see Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina or Georgia for affordable price.
@Fubukibox
We can also offer you a VPS in Turkey for $25/yr, however, unlike our other VPSs, this one will not come with Virtualizor control panel, but our support team will help you out with any VPS management tasks...
Location: Turkey
Test IP: 5.182.34.164
2vCPU
4GB RAM
35GB SSD
1TB Bandwidth @1Gbps (1Gbps Unmetered option available for additional $15/yr)
1IPv4
$25/yr
PM me for custom order link if interested.
Los Angeles, San Jose.. I picked nearby California locations first then Japan
Anywhere in Europe where the towns are quiet n such, might not be pop loc but eh
BuyVM moved from Luxembourg to Switzerland not Netherlands. I already have a vps from BuyVM in CH and also aluy in CH
How much for 1 ran yakumo?
I will check it out soon. Thinking about it
Spokane, WA is behind crunchbits, I did ran a traceroute.
Eygelshoven, NL looks nice.
I'll have to think about it for a bit but thanks everyone for the offers
Thanks, I, will get one for a globalping probe
Yes netcup is in Vienna and they have a pretty good network imo
Croatia is also rare
We already run some on there
@MattBGP has Maribor, Slovenia - that is what I would call rare location in Europe.
MVPS has Cyprus and Dublin and either Seville or Valencia (don't remember, check) in Spain and also a non-usual location in Italy.
@3K33 has Gdansk, Poland
@Computebox also has Moelln and not only Bremen.
Euronodes has Portugal.
Also there is a new US one in Iowa, forgot the name.
Please note: most will be out of your price range, so probably will have to check for special discount offers with those.
Right! MVPS also has Greece. Very cool set of locs although outside of OP budget.
I can confirm Gdańsk is a "quiet n such" city
But outside of OP budget for sure confirm it @3K33 .
Computebox only shows Hamburg and Bremen. i don't see Moelln anywhere.
Ill go check out Euronodes. @3K33 Gdansk, Poland has other vps in stock but the $7EUR/yr one is OOS but others are double my price range.
Moelln is the one they call Hamburg. It's like 30 miles or so away (but by that a different state in Germany as Hamburg is a so called city state) while the Bremen one is really in Bremen (city and state).
I'd say it's still fine to call that location Hamburg, esp. with all the connections and peering mostly happening in Hamburg (e.g. DE-CIX HH), I was just curious as this DC is actually in the state of Schleswig-Holstein and it is hard to find a DC location there in that state (the hardest being Rhineland-Pfalz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Sachsen-Anhalt though).
Thanks for the mention! Yes we do have Taiwan in stock right now
I have a Croatia VPS from @MAXKO_Hosting which is quite nice, although the routing could be better (I had to move my uptime monitor off of them it couldn't route reliably to 2 of the ~30 services I had at the time). Speed is solid and I think they give you 4 vCPUs even at their cheapest plan, since each CPU is only a Xeon E5-2683 v4. They also have a plan in South Africa, although it is (understandably) quite slow. All their plans cost more than $20/year, though.
My own rarest locations are Kosovo (rscomputers-ks.com), Slovenia (pfcloud.io), Nigeria (sitehub.agency), Chile (infofractal.io), Vietnam (dataonline.vn), and Turkey (vps.tc). I know that No Ack Hosting (noackhosting.se) has an VPS in Laos, but I've heard it's unusably slow.
I traced this the ip 136.0.228.26 and this goes to New York.... 90-100ms+ http://ca2.smarthost.net/ shows 83.136.49.16 (Santa Clara) and i was able to get under 22ms, my OCI one in SJC has under 12ms (Xfinity -> OCI)
ill prob have to make a spreadsheet n such. im about to pass out atm
Found it, it's @Rackoona
Sorry, 7€/yr plan won’t be available any time soon. But I can make you a discount code for that bigger one (50% off like in offer thread), for a year Micro plan would be around 20€/yr + VAT if applicable. Let me know if you would be interested.
Thanks for the mention!
