I would be happy to give something in Singapore for a potential long term user. I can probably price match what you have or do something lower maybe, send me a DM or email [email protected].

Singapore use Ryzen 9 or EPYC 4004/5 (equivalent to Ryzen 9). Had a new EPYC 4584PX setup in Singapore last week. Network is Datapacket.

  • Both Layer and SpeedyPage are good options.

I’ve heard SpeedyPage is quite stable, but I’ve only just started using it, so I haven’t verified that yet.

    Hello,

It is planned maintenance of our Singapore upstream (SG.GS). The downtime will not be 3 hours, but during this time traffic may be rerouted using another upstream and you may experience a brief connectivity interruption caused by that.

BGP customers announcing only via SG.GS may experience longer downtime during this maintenance window.

How long brief connectivity interruption and experience longer downtime will be? Are there any more exact time estimation?

Have contacted support as well but there is no satisfying answer

I don't think they mentioned that there will be a long downtime. Where are you both getting this idea from?

    Dear Valued Customer,

Our upstream provider SG.GS in Singapore will be performing a planned maintenance on 28 February 2026, with the following details:

    Start: 28 February 2026, 00:01 SGT (GMT+8)
    End: 28 February 2026, 03:00 SGT (GMT+8)
    Reason: JunOS upgrade
    Impact details:
Some end users accessing our Cloud VM and Object Storage services in Singapore may experience a brief interruption while traffic is being rerouted to an alternative upstream provider. This only affects users whose optimal route is via SG.GS. Minimal downtime is expected while the routes reconverge.
Customers using BGP/BYOIP and announcing routes only via SG.GS will experience a service interruption until the maintenance is completed.

This usually means no downtime. If you don't do BGP or don't know what it is in the first place, you don't need to worry about the downtime. If there is any interruption anyway, it just means the connecting network is slow at reconvergence and to no fault of @onidel.

as @borkedascii said, there is nothing you should be worried about unless you are running BGP/BYOIP with us.

We currently use both SG.GS and Host Universal as upstream providers in Singapore.

When SG.GS begins their maintenance window, traffic that normally routes through SG.GS will automatically be redirected to Host Universal. During this process, it may take a few seconds to a few minutes for the routes to reconverge (i.e., routes via SG.GS will be withdrawn and replaced with routes via Host Universal). This behavior is completely normal and expected.

If we were single-homed to SG.GS (or any provider), there would be downtime during the maintenance period. However, with multiple upstreams in place, traffic will continue to flow via the alternative provider.
