    Wow
10 USD per month for a 1core 1GB RAM and 30 storage? No no no.
@xHosts this is LET, users want this config for 7 USD per year.. not 10 USD per month

The main purpose of this server is high bandwidth, I have a number of customers reach out for low grade servers but high guaranteed bandwidth servers.

Bandwidth is not free, check most UK providers, they will include 10 - 30TB bandwidth and then have huge fees for upgrades.

$10 a month for 125TB is quite the bargain when its guaranteed, not a fair use policy that will cap the speed after 30TB

If you have some point to this please feel free to share it, while comparing a provider that limits disk speeds, advise unlimited and will cap or place limits if you try and use anything near even 50TB.

It is not very comparable to a LET provider vs a multi million pound company either.

That is your preference, I don't see a reason to trash the sales thread because a server with another provide suits your needs, this does not mean it suits everyone's.

I sell this type of server outside of LET for much more, I have lowered this here with the guaranteed amount of bandwidth.

A lot of providers here will state unlimited but use maybe 20TB and get capped to a very slow speed or forced into their high price upgrades . This offer includes a high amount with a free upgrade.

I do not aim for the $7 a year since we have seen what happens when providers do this, either oversell like crazy and you will not get the speeds once the nodes are oversold or they announce they are closing because of the financial side of things has not worked

My aim is not to be the cheapest but provide a certain level of service that is value for money, not a service that will close tomorrow or be centre of stress with outages every week. I have customers who have signed up in 2023 on other offers and had no outages apart from the pre warned maintenance for upgrades.

Yes, Bandwidth is calculated as sum of upload and download.

We can't offer the 10G since we know some will try to max that and impact other customers, we are open to discussion on increasing if that is what customers are seeking

Most providers with a FUP are like this. Transit costs money (cheap transit is maybe 3c per mbit) so you can do the math yourself. If you do 30tb/month you're averaging 100mbps. That's $3/month just in bandwidth, assuming the provider is getting transit for absolute bottom of the barrel rates. Standard pricing for lower commits is ~8c per mbit, so that's $8/month in bandwidth. If you're paying $5/month for a VM and using $8 in resources, no host is going to want you around for long.

Even out of the providers in your signature, gigahost stopped offering VPS with unmetered bandwidth due to abuse (taking a loss on bandwidth), and netcup throttles after you use too much bandwidth in set timeframes (protecting their 95% bandwidth usage).

$9/m for (basically) 300mbit 24/7 is actually a pretty good deal, especially since it's strictly defined and doesn't have an explicit FUP. Of course, this only matters if you're actually using the full 100T of bandwidth.

Name them... or they don't exist and you are making false acusation.

    Still overpriced for LET market.
    Good price for non-LET.
I hope now that my main ideea is acknowledged ...

show me a VM provider that explicitly states I can do 100T per month for under $10 and I'll happily join you in shitting on this offer. Until then, I don't think this is overpriced. I think you're just not the target audience, which is a different thing entirely.

@xHosts does ingress traffic count towards the quota?

Yes, Bandwidth is calculated as sum of upload and download.

It would be a great deal if download doesn't count.

  • I love a good 1 eur/m from IONOS or a dirt cheap unmetered OVH KS dedi or a 7 eur 1G unmetered vps from OVH but that doesn't mean this is a bad deal.

  • I feel like it honestly depends on the use case. I find it a bit interested (Just a tad bit more expensive) but its great to have these options.

GLWS and sent a message for a dm (considering I want this for privacy purposes but UK is actually being so shitty with privacy taking steps towards anti privacy with VPN law, if I were to pay with crypto, quite frankly as an outsider I have lost faith in UK and what if they come after me if my project has a vpn or say any related service which I had intended to create a non profit of (I was thinking cloudflare tunnels but it can be argued as vpn by UK, like the laws pretty vague)

My biggest grievance is with the location/provider being UK and the UK laws right now getting even more dystopian...
