Anyone successfully change from syslog to rsyslog on CentOS?

Not sure why, but on my test installs changing to rsyslog kills all syslog, it's like the instructions on all the websites I have tried are missing something. Has anyone successfully done it?

Yes, I did. Removed syslogd, install rsyslogd and rebooted
In the cPanel config I told it to monitor rsyslogd from now on

  • Take it back, it is logging, cause I see the events in loggly now. Was just a base VPS to see how it was acting, but it is working.
