Why are there so many activation issues after purchase? Have you just opened?

Because it’s Romanian garbage. The memory uses ballooning, and if you don’t notice it, you end up with only half of what you paid for. It’s oversold, and the performance tests contradict their advertised specs.

Due to how memory ballooning works, you do end up with what you pay for, except you have to actually use that RAM. Otherwise, it won't show up in the once-per-year YABS test
Additionally, as mentioned by you, we happily disable this functionality if you put in a support ticket.
No need to call it garbage.

Not bad? USB3 sticks have better 4k throughput (https://ssd-tester.com/lexar_jumpdrive_m45_64gb.html).

The drive has barely a premium SSD speed, the throughput limit is severe. While running the drive test look at the IOWait and you'll see a big spike.
In the last 30 days at least 48h downtime for network, packet loss is constant.

CPU is great, but everything else is ...

LE. In previous 5900X offer the drive had way better throughput (https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/4499423/#Comment_4499423):

fio Disk Speed Tests (Mixed R/W 50/50) (Partition /dev/sda1):

    @ws6895

I'm sorry but neither our monitoring nor our public RIPE Atlas probe (https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/65945/overview) show 48h of downtime or constant packet loss

Please submit a support ticket if you experience(d) any issues, provide any relevant details there and I'm sure a colleague of mine will be able to help you out

  • +1 for torchbyte

he was kind enough to give me 4GB RAM for free in past. It was running fine.

now give me free 8GB :) RAM

I don’t doubt your monitoring, but from my other devices that are always on, your vps had 93% availability over the last 30 days.
I have open ticket for drive low speed for many days. #347118
I have open ticket for network packet loss, since packet loss goes away only by lowering mtu under 1480. #106109

  • Dear LET colleagues, be careful with these guys.
Besides what I already mentioned above about them not providing the resources they advertise, after my first test when I confirmed things were not as they claim, I shut down the server and opened a ticket informing them that the service is not as described and that I don’t need it, requesting a refund.

They replied, of course, but conveniently avoided saying anything about the refund.
I canceled the service after two days and asked again for reimbursement — still no response to the ticket to this day.

I personally opened a dispute with my bank. Be very careful with the payment method you use in order to be able to recover your money.

On another note, I checked their “big IT company” — ALL THINGS IT SRL, registered in 2024, https://listafirme.ro/all-things-it-srl-50757953/ with a turnover of 597 RON (~120 EUR) and debts of 5,994 RON.
    A truly “trustworthy” company indeed…
I will also check whether the invoice is legally registered.

  • @torchbyte Any restock of the "LET Double Ryzen 9 VPS" offer ?
