Fast RDP Experience

Hello

What has been your best experience with a Windows server?

High CPU frequency
Fast RAM
Fast hard drive

Where was the server located?

What was the CPU model? Which generation of the server was it?

I would appreciate your guidance if you have any experience.

Usage: Chrome is opened with a relatively high number of tabs.

  • For windows, latency matters a LOT.

It doesn't matter what CPU you have or how much RAM you have.... it will still suck if you have a poor connection with the server.

Supposing connection is ok and geolcation is optimal, choose any from epyc or ryzen for smooth windows. 4 GB ram is okish for windows server 2025 but go for 6 GB atleast just to be safe.

  • Thanks for your helps. I got server

I'd you feel it would be useful you can gimme a shout (ping/tag) if you want to know something specific after input from others; while I can't test dozens of configs and slaughter the goodwill of my generous benefactors I should have access to a cloud lab where I can setting up a handful or less for a few hours to try stuff short term :)
