I'd like to know why I'm getting almost the same and pathetic performance with 8 vcores! ... can anyone explain this trick? It's as if they only function at 11~15% of their capacity regardless of how many cores are active at the time of the test. It's all too obvious that the hypervisor is throttling by client, not by actual scaling. Upgrading for more vcores is pointless. More cores are useless. Just a waste of money.
    It's worse than a damn ATOM C2750.

In my opinion I suppose that since the deadline for filing a claim with PayPal has passed, it's time to reduce the performance of the VPSs that were provided... Apparently, the first few months were a "trial" period to gain our trust. Now it's disgusting.
    Very clever.

Have you opened a ticket, maybe a wrong setting on their end but the nodes are pretty oversold imo.

Yes, there're a few support tickets, but no solution for the 8 rented vcores... As I've already said, the time for filing a complaint with PayPal about poor service or a broken promise has likely passed. Now I have to swallow years of broken promises.

    WHY THIS OFFER IS UNMISSABLE

    • Unmatched High Availability: Downtime? What's that? Our H/A is enabled automatically to keep your services running smoothly 24/7.
    • H/A Clusters of Enterprise Grade Hardware with Intel® Xeon® Gold 6130 Processor or Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2683v4, ECC Registered RAM and Triple replicated H/A SSD CEPH Storage.
    • Custom VPS configuration: Order your H/A Cloud VPS with the exact specs you need. Don't waste money on plans unfit to your needs!
    • Instant Scaling: Upgrade or downgrade any resource independently, anytime. Your server, your rules.
    • You get the LOWEST prices ever starting at $0.49/month for a triennial plan and an additional full year on us!

    HAHA!!

    My message.

Can you please stop constantly suggesting the upgrade?

You offered a promotion that you're not honoring because the maximum performance is around 2-3 vcores. Beyond that, acquiring any additional cores is a waste, like a complete scam.

So I express my complete dissatisfaction with the VPS service I rented, specifically regarding the CPU resources advertised and delivered.

I purchased a VPS plan legally advertised and i upgraded to "8 vcores", expecting a proportional increase in computational performance or, at the very least, A REALISTIC LEVEL OF SCALABILITY, A REALISTIC LEVEL! However, real-world performance has consistently demonstrated that the VPS never exceeds the equivalent of 2–3 physical CPU cores, and in many cases performs significantly below that level.

This behavior is NOT occasional nor related to short-term load fluctuations; it's a hard performance CEILING that the VPS never surpasses. As a result, the additional vcores I paid for are effectively NON-functional and USELESS.

Under these conditions, promoting CPU “scalability” is fundamentally MISLEADING. If a strict per-VPS CPU quota exists, preventing any VPS from exceeding a fixed performance threshold regardless of the number of vcores purchased, then increasing vcore count provides no real performance benefit whatsoever. Customers are therefore paying more money for specifications that CANNOT be utilized in practice.

This means that, regardless of whether one purchases 2 vcores, 4 vcores, or 8 vcores, the sustained performance remains essentially the same. Such a model CANNOT reasonably be described as scalable and gives the clear impression of FALSE or DECEPTIVE advertising.

I feel seriously misled by this representation and consider the service delivered to be inconsistent with what was advertised and sold. This situation is unacceptable and damages trust in your platform.

I request a clear explanation of the enforced CPU limits per VPS, as well as an appropriate resolution to this matter. At minimum, the way CPU resources are marketed should transparently reflect the actual performance limitations imposed on each VPS.

    Theirs.

    Thank you for your message.
Your VPS is operating as designed for a shared-resource virtualized environment. The assigned vCPU count defines the maximum level of parallel execution available to your system, not a guarantee of linear or sustained CPU performance under continuous full-load benchmarking.
In shared VPS infrastructures, CPU resources are scheduled using fair-share mechanisms across multiple customers. Under sustained, CPU-saturating workloads, performance may reach a plateau where adding more threads does not increase total throughput. This behavior is expected and normal for shared VPS services and does not indicate misconfiguration, hidden throttling, or non-functional vCPUs.
Your server is correctly provisioned according to the plan specifications, and no issue has been identified at the VM or host configuration level.
If your workload requires guaranteed, predictable CPU performance under sustained load, a service with dedicated compute resources is required, as shared VPS plans are not designed to provide fixed physical CPU throughput.

    And in their policies.

Question : What is the difference between Cloud and Dedicated Servers ?

Answer: Cloud Server: A typically low-cost and low-resource server with shared resources among numerous tenants in a node. Great for startups and new projects or testing, since it is scalable and provides increased flexibility at a good value-for-money. However, established businesses should not expect to run on low-cost cloud servers since “busy neighbor” problems and limited resources can harm them. MassiveGRID’s High Availability Cloud Servers provide the industry’s best value-for-money,** since we do not oversell our servers so there’s hardly any busy neighbor problems, while enjoying maximum flexibility at a low cost.**

Cloud Dedicated Server: Increased resources, increased security and reliability. It is similar to a bare-metal server, only virtual. In a large deployed node, resources are segmented according to tenants’ needs and they remain dedicated to each tenant. In addition, they remain reliable thanks to their virtual flexibility. Providers large enough benefit from economies of scale and deploy large nodes that they can split up in numerous virtualized dedicated servers. MassiveGRID offers High Availability Cloud Dedicated Servers that offer ultimate reliability thanks to KVM virtualization; uptime is not even affected by hardware, network or power problems thanks to the near-instant re-deployment of servers on healthy nodes, when needed. IT engineers are then able to work on troubleshooting without the pressure of the clients’ downtime. This allows MassiveGRID to resolve any potential issues in the best possible way, instead of coming up with “quick n’ dirty” solutions of high risk and low efficiency. Cloud dedicated servers are ideal for established businesses and business-critical projects that need increased reliability.

    Quite yellow there...
Scalability performance -> Manually imposed throttling.

I'm really fed up with this situation.
The reality of this service isn't so great. I wish I had never met them. It was like buying a fake USB drive on AliExpress...

    Latest test.

    https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/19308898

In short, 1 vcore VPS: 2411/2307 points VS 8 vcores VPS: 2004/3480 points (Same Region: Frankfurt)
    +12 eur/extra vcore for extra 167.5 points -> 7 extra vcores * 12 eur = 1170 extra points.
    Great scalability!! Great purchase!!!

It's impossible to be satisfied with this.

The “everything is ok” message they sent you is a template, I just received the same one becuase my VPS has become unuseable

Oversold and unusable. The performance promises are completely FAKE.
Surprise!! Once the time for claiming a refund has passed, the real "performance" begins. They call this "shared-resource". I call it a "manually limited resource" which is not scalable.
You can rent as many vcores as you want (that's useless), but you won't get the unrestricted performance of scalability, just a sense that someone is manually managing your limit.
With each passing day, I have more yellow in my htop... It's about to die, and it has 8 rented vcores...

    I feel cheated.

When an user performs almost the same score with 8 vcores as with 1 vcore, that service is...

    a. a strong hook to sell you other things.
    b. a problem
    c. a scam
    d. all of them
