Subject: Formal Complaint - Defrauded by Velox Media (ARPW Group)

Dear LowEndTalk Team,

I am writing to formally report that I have been scammed by Velox Media (veloxmedia.co.uk).

I purchased a 3-year VPS plan based on an offer found on LowEndTalk, trusting the platform's vetting process. However, my service was forcibly taken offline in less than a month. The "new management" (ARPW Group) is refusing to honor my prepaid contract and has cut off my access entirely without any refund.

I am deeply disappointed as I relied on LET's reputation when choosing this provider. I have attached the proof of payment and service interruption. I urge the LET moderation team to take action against this provider to protect other users and, if possible, assist me in holding them accountable.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards, [hanigege]

What reputation? This place is a cess-pit.

I usually buy my car and house from the Offers category on LET

    每个在这里的人已经都指道VeloxMedia是骗子,关于你的问题所以让我们知道么有用。比较有用的是告诉别的中国人,有可能帮陌生人不需要买。

(Everybody here already knows VeloxMedia is a scam, there's no point telling us. It'd be better to tell other Chinese people as you might be able to stop someone else buying one.)

EDIT: Sorry, it's bad form on my part to assume he's Chinese just from his username when nothing else in his post actually suggests that. Apologies for that.

AFAIK "ARPW Group" is not the "new management". If it is, please provide proof in mentioned discussion.

It's always your decision to participate in an offer. And if you are really "taken offline in less of a month", how does that work out when your invoices are at the end of October and the "we take you down" is of half January - that's a bit more. Anyway, details. Already at the moment of purchase there were definitely signs that this was an exit scam - you can find that on LET. So LET's reputation isn't really at stake IMHO.

    Best regards, [hanigege]

Nice to see you mention your forumname here but have complete address data in the invoices. The typical US name and US address don't match up with some other stuff from your post though. Is it nice living on Woodhill Avenue in Fork, Maryland? Wanted to take a look there, but can't find it on Google Maps - I'm a bit disappointed about that.

Anyway, that doesn't take away that you've being scammed - and I'm sorry about that. But again: you're not the only one. You're free to contribute to the discussion already there for it. And if you place things on here that have personal data: get it out. And if you've used fake data for signing up, it's even more so, because it'll influence people's opinion about you calling out someone a scammer when you have used fake details to sign up.

Well, the address on the invoice tells differently... But I agree, everything else is really calling out non-US.

We all agree with you here BTW. But we already know it's a scam and there are plenty of victims here as well. You'd be better off telling people on forums where they don't already know, as you might save someone else from falling for the scam.

Thank you for your reaction. It's totally not referring to anything I state and say though. Maybe if you include some else's contribution to this forum, respond to anything said within it? And not just put in some random statement?

Just to be clear: I agree with your statement (as you can see in my contributions to the other topic on this forum), but that doesn't take away that it's not considered good practice to open up a topic by yourself while another one exists. And with a few things in your post that are not matching up with what you say.
