Could you please double order # 7730257689?

    And I don't mean 7,730,257,689 x 2 = 15,460,515,378 :-)

Most Chinese internet traffic is internal (China to China), so the amount of peering from China to the outside world is very small. There are few IXPs that do it, so bandwidth is limited. It's not uncommon to see a host give you cheap 100 Mbps unmetered traffic in Taiwan or Hong Kong, and charge an arm and a leg for an extra 10 Mbps when it peers directly with China.

Do you also provide VPS at a cheaper rate with a somewhat decent bandwidth allowance within Taiwan networks and some low-priority traffic out to the rest of the world (doesn't need to be China optimised)?

This is more of an interest question, I don't need capacity in Taiwan right now, but would like some probably within the year.

That is a interesting take, at the moment we do not offer such a plan/service. Simply because there was no such demand. Maybe in the future.

Yeah, I can kind of understand there not being much demand. Taipei is only 50ms from my (newly acquired) servers in Seoul and Tokyo. Bandwidth isn't cheap in either, but it seems significantly cheaper than offerings in Taiwan itself, and 50ms is acceptable for a lot of applications.

But it's interesting that when I've been travelling in Taiwan, it's pretty hard to get anything that isn't an unlimited data plan for phones. They're also really cheap and it seems that most people don't think about bandwidth usage at all. Obviously, the situation for hosting will be somewhat different, but I'd have thought there would be at least some way to serve the domestic market relatively cheaply because networks would save on international peering costs.

Yes, bandwidth in Taiwan and routing outside Taiwan is expensive.

But if you drop your Invoice number in the comments, you can double it :)
