    you go to your https://vps.deluxhost.net , then to the server in question - if the upgrade has been issued, you get a notification that you need to reboot it. If not - no notification. I waited a week and got one, now waiting for another @DeluxHost 1936835115

    yeah, I confirm this. I didn't get any noti. But specs in client dashboard, and specs in vps mange panel are changed. also check in terminal if you already installed OS,

    Thanks, but I explicitly wrote that I don't recognize any change in the panel/dashboard. I know that for some upgrades, a reboot is needed for them to become visible inside the VPS, but they should still be visible in the panel/dashboard.

    Ok - going to post something positive here. Hope that’s allowed. I’m new to the world of the VPS‘s, but I’ve become a collector (well have 10 now), which I’m currently using for an astronomy image lookup tool for researchers. It is very lightweight and a good application for VPS’s because you want the images served nearby to the researchers.

    Anyway, of the two other VPS’s that I bought in Amsterdam; and the one in Frankfurt, the @DeluxHost server delivers the images fastest.

    Yes, I’m waiting for my bonus along with some of the rest of you, but I’m fine if that arrives in the next few days as I’m sure it will. Very happy with the VPS so far, which is the main point.

    Distributed compute (folding@home type)? That might be against TOS if Deluxhost does not allow such usages or will use too much CPU for extended time (no VPS provider allows high CPU for days). Root nodes or dedicated servers might be more appropriate.

    No, no... nothing like that. Very lightweight. The load average is going to be asymptotically approaching zero. All the server does (when someone connects, which is infrequent) is display a three.js web page (using a node.js server), allowing people to paint a region of interest on the 3D model of a comet (or asteroid), and then the server figures out - through table lookup - which images (of the roughly 22GB of images!) contain the painted region of interest. The user can then view the images, either texture mapped onto the comet, or in their original 2D form. The server does minimal computation (most is done in the client browser), and just does a little light table lookup and serves images. This was my son's undergraduate research at MIT, and I'm just playing around with deploying it a bit more broadly.
