As a professional scammer, I am somewhat surprised that I was not invited to participate.
We’ll release more services when CrankBis deploys our node.
Already sent three Romania sisters but got no response.
I'm dying 🤣
Come to think of it, I might actually be a dino. The following was my very first book of computers; reading it in library because could not afford buying too many books.
EDIT: notice it also has some purple colour.
CrankBis ( @sh97 @wadhah ) took the sisters but didn’t provision service.
Are they scammers?
Ah the memories
I still have this on my bookshelf a few metres from me!
(also a bit weird that I last referred to something in it only about a year ago)
delete let to stop scammer
They will provide you service(s) and the sisters as well
I'd like to join lol!!
DAS is fun idea

Thank you for your interest. As Dinos Against Scammers is still in the early phase of establishment, we are still formulating our policies. Once this has been completed, we will revert to you soonest.
I am pretty sure I had this one below but I lost it :-(
Are DAS friendly towards weebs?
It looks like the next oldest tech book I have is this:
I seem to have lost all the tech books older than these two unless you count user manuals for old computers. But I think this was my first ever book about computers:
I can't find it at the moment, and technically it wasn't mine, it was my sister's, but I still have this somewhere:
This is old enough that it's still assumes 6 character filenames, so presumably VMS.
My first book on computers was about Dragon32 microcomputer programming; that was an 6809 microprocessor...
Now that's prehistorical...
Absolutely!
🤝
Pretty sure I had the C one when I was still in middle school.
Was ratnerd deadpooled? Scam dont buy....ah no, its a rebrand then, whats the new owner?
You're not a baby Dino, you're a geriatric one!
I had one of those. I hated it and threw it away as soon as my family got a better computer. Some years later I was reading about the 6809 and regretted it.
Apart from being just a crap clone of the Tandy Coco (IIRC it was identical apart from two rows on the keyboard matrix being transposed so people would be forced to buy software from Dragon Data), the reason I hated it was it had a keyboard that looked great but the firmware just ignored the second keypress if the first key wasn't released yet meaning it was fine if you were a hunt and peck typist but as soon as you tried to type faster it'd just miss out half the characters.
Oh, and mine had a RAM refresh fault, so if you left it alone for a couple of hours, various bits of the screen RAM had flipped. Only crashed occasionally, but probably because it was running code out of ROM most of the time so the RAM disappearing on it probably didn't affect anything important.
I think it's only redeeming point over the Coco was having the 2 analogue joystick ports. Oh, and another negative was the utterly stupid power supply - weighed a ton, was massive and had +12V and -12V as well as +5V and -5V.
No, I'm still here
We never had a better computer for years, so yeah, it was my only way of doing things. Got it as a present from my aunt who didn't know what to do with it.
That way I didn't have to go to the library and book 1 of the 2 VIC20s they had back then.
Ah, the memories...
And proud of it. But still acting like a small child. Keep the child alive!
I have some room available on my Velox servers.
Age would be make sense as well
Thats why i'm still in love with them! All those memories!
