Will Veloxmedia continue operating?

dishudishu Member

The server I purchased from Veloxmedia is unable to boot up.

I don't want to know what happened between Lewis and Eric; I just want to know if I can
continue using the server or if my money will be refunded to my wallet.

I regret using cryptocurrency to pay. If I had used PayPal, my money would be back in my wallet now.

Although I don't know if it will work, I've already opened a support ticket with VeloxMedia.

    -20 eur

I then realized he paid in euros.

Golden rule i picked up here.. Never buy from company who don't offer paypal as payment gateway. They add it late, probably had chargebacks, remove it and re-add it with new address just before bf shitshow

I had a similar problem (server not booting anymore) during or near Christmas as well. Opened a ticket and got a response as well as an ISO mounted for my reinstall.

Based on my experience I guess your chances are good.

  • VeloxMedia just said they were going to shut down my VPS, because of "The LET drama"

I am sorry for this but we will be deleting your service soon. The LET drama is causing too much headaches for us because of issues like this and unfortunately you're caught in the issue.

I've enabled this service so you're able to pull any data and backup. Work with your bank to chargeback and you can purchase another service from us or someone else.

The "issues like this" they are speaking of is posting my order number in the comments to get upgrades. Someone in Latvia (I looked up their IP) used my order number and requested a refund. They didn't even have my email address or my VeloxMedia account, but I guess the "brain trust" at Velox decided to issue them a refund. So now I am out of a box, and ~$100, and have to go to my bank a month after the purchase and ask for a chargeback (Bank: "What's a VPS?")

At which point does this turn from sheer incompetence to criminal negligence? Overdramatic on purpose

    The no identification?

    The no verification?

The refund the non-original payment method?

Its a failure on all fronts :D

  • VeloxMedia might continue to operate and scam people on internet or other forums in future. But right now, for LET users they are indeed a SCAM. VeloxMedia might be there, but your servers will not.

and yes, they confirmed it. VeloxMedia sent email to everyone that their servers will shutdown on 15th January 2026. That's just 5 days notice. Even a legit web hosting provider gives 30 days a minimum. Summer hosts do give 5 or 1 day notice. Glad they didn't give tommorrow's deadline. So kindly backup first. Find a reliable provider here. Lots of good people on LET who really run a trustworth hosting business.

Great thread, that is indeed the question that many people are asking. Maybe this is the better thread for those asking questions about Velox and Velox Media and the other numerous Velox entities, old and new.

So many questions (even if we already suspect we know the answers).

Eric said he got 4 last digits of the card. So, that and reusing pp configs is enough to make the charge.
