what's the best vps provider for me to host decentralized app?
hello, im currently hosting my servers on aws and it costs too much, so i would like to find a better option for me to host the fe/be and keep the DB on AWS. So, the purpose of moving to the other services are cutting cost, here are the servers which I have on AWS:
1. proxy-document-db | using t2.nano
2. [name]-staging | using t3.large
3. [name]-env | using t3.large

how my app works?
1. web dApp (frontend + Node.js backend)
2. stateless API, DB hosted on AWS RDS
3. mostly I/O bound workload (API + RPC + DB)
4. expected 300–1,000 concurrent users or even more in the future
5. no blockchain nodes, no heavy CPU tasks
i've been searching on the Google for myself to see which are the best vps providers and the top on Google showed me:
1. Contabo
2. OVH Cloud
3. Hetzner
4. LightNode
5. DigitalOcean
which providers I have to choose for 99,9% uptime/plans/no noisy neighbour and trustable for decentralized app?
thank you for helping me out to find a solution for my work.

But have u get any discount on AWS when reload?
yes, i do. i won a hackathon in 2024 and receive $4k. It's about to expire and running out of credit. so , im looking for trustable vps provider providing such service like aws.
I see maybe you can try alibaba cloud , global top 3 server provider.. If you need it I have, can let u get discount when reload
LeaseWeb
I see two options. Option 1 - you stick with big players. AWS, Azure, Hetzner, OVH, DigitalOcean, maybe Linode (Akamai I think it is now) and see where it will be cheaper/stable. Option 2 - you pick up non big players but solid, this is more challenging but perhaps you can mitigate it by having fault tolerance/high availability set up and some kind of load balancer, Option 2 will def save you money but I guess this is trial-and-error approach and I am not sure if you can afford that.
thank you for suggestion, it'll be in my list. So many affordable options with high-performance server.
yes, i was thinking about that too. There are many providers and I also listed Hetzner and OVH in my list. i will stick with option 1 and maybe there are many big players will be included, if possible. i appriciate a lot.
Solid choice. Good luck with it.
can i ask what kind of discount? im not familiar with it since i got aws credit from winning hackathon. Still difficult for me to understand those beautiful words. if it's possible, can you provide me more information?
Hetzner is the best choice on your list for power/price, but watch out for latency.
If you keep the DB on AWS and move the app servers to another provider, your performance will likely tank because every database query has to travel across the open internet.
My advice:
* AWS Lightsail: Switch your EC2s to Lightsail. It's much cheaper and keeps your app close to your RDS.
* Move Everything: If you go with Hetzner (which is great), move the DB there too.
Skip Contabo if you want to avoid noisy neighbors.
If you need more performance, Hetzner. Other than that use OVH.
Hetrix has nodes on Clouvider, might be worth a look. Hetrix is pretty decentralized.
happy to provide some trial credits if you want to try our service.

we offer AMD EPYC Milan VMs in New York, Amsterdam, Singapore, and Sydney. If Singapore is of interest, EPYC Turin is also available there, offering higher single-core performance.
our VMs are built with high availability at both the compute and storage levels. Private networking is supported and can be easily managed through our control panel.
feel free to DM if you are interested or have any questions
Do not choose Contabo
I repeat, Do not choose Contabo
Onidel has been my first choice for anything I need in Singapore. Great service.
hetzner
i will take note it, i just bought contabo just for testing. it's great to read this and advice is taken, thanks a lot.
i will go hetzner and move the DB to it too.
You could look at InterServer, RackNerd, Hetzner, Vultr, IONOS, Linode/Akamai, Contabo, and BuyVM.
