[WARNING] AlexHost: Deceptive PR on Trustpilot & Refusal to Honor 30-Day Guarantee
I am writing this to warn the global hosting community about AlexHost’s fraudulent practices and their dishonest public relations tactics.
The "Guarantee" Trap: I purchased their hosting service based on the advertised "30-Day Money Back Guarantee." However, they refused my refund request without providing any valid evidence of TOS violation and threatened to ban my account when I insisted on my consumer rights.
Deceptive PR on Trustpilot: After posting a negative review, their representative "Alex" replied with a polite-looking message on Trustpilot, pretending to be helpful and asking me to contact support again. This is a complete publicity stunt. I have updated my review on Jan 2, 2026, to expose this: I had already contacted them multiple times, and they chose to ignore me privately while acting professional publicly.
The USDT Payment Loophole: I paid via USDT. It is now clear that AlexHost exploits crypto users because they know we cannot initiate a bank chargeback. They are weaponizing their "No Refund" stance against crypto payments despite their global marketing promises.

Thank you @xHosts. I felt it was necessary to share this so others don't fall into the same USDT refund trap. AlexHost's marketing is completely different from their actual practice.
Their AUP clearly says "In the event of an AUP violation or the acquisition of an order using an active promotional code, it is important to be aware that refunds will not be issued under these circumstances." keyword being "or". I also don't see any evidence of you being threatened.
why does anybody buy from hosts that do this?
@meaton, please check the 3rd and 4th screenshots in my Imgur link. It clearly shows the support staff threatening to ban my account if I continue to ask for a refund. Also, the '30-day guarantee' was the primary marketing hook—AUP loopholes don't excuse deceptive advertising.

I might have the facts wrong, but I believe jar once said AlexHost is often used by spammers.
@fredo1664, please scroll down in the Imgur album. There are more than 3 images. Look specifically for the chat log where the agent says: 'If you continue this behavior, we will be forced to terminate your account.' That is a direct threat for simply asking for a refund under their guarantee.

Question: How long since the service order did you need to realize that you don’t need the host and want your money back?
On a side note, I believe that the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee in the hosting industry is nonsense. Maybe one week max, but 30 days is a full monthly billing period already. One can use and abuse the service well and then just request the money back.
Don't apply if the customer is from the EU. There are warranty claims and non-fulfillment of the contract if, for example, promised items are not delivered.

there's usually something the OP in cases like this is not telling us. How long after order did you want a refund? Did you use it for 29 days and asked for cancellation on day 30?

The customer asked for a refund, and first @alexhost accepted and confirmed the refund request. Then they changed their mind the next day.
That’s a shitty way to do business, regardless of whether the acceptance of the refund was done by mistake or not.
You have no date, the vps was ordered on. After 20-30 days mostly you loose the rights anyway.
probably a miscommunication. I think it went like this:
1) op submitted a request.
2) a support staff answered to acknowledge they got his request (most likely they didn't even read it at this stage).
3) a higher level support staff went through it and came back with "we regret..."
Mostly web hosts and service provider do not refund if paid via crypto. Many have this clause in their TOS.
OP, you can ask for account credit in that case.

In all of my dealings with @alexhost I have always found them to be extremely friendly and helpful. They actively support the Open Source community.
So when I see comments like the OPs, there has to be more behind the story.
30 day money back guarantee will be a problem if you abused either intentionally or unintentionally.
Refunding crypto is often difficult for many providers so it is often given back as an account credit.
You should always give a provider a chance to resolve the situation (we have had Christmas and New Year). Posting a negative review on trustpilot and a follow up on here just shows you feel like you are 'in power'. However as a result the provider can exert their own power e.g. no refund due to abuse (either server or verbal).
If you want a proper solution you should BOTH communicate in a civil manner.

First, let's clarify something.
1) There is no need to save the Acceptable Use Policy page. The page has already been saved for many months or years (by us) for that very reason. If you search for versions saved from 1 year ago, you will find the rule there, so it was not added today or yesterday or the day before yesterday. It has been there for some time.
2) We are not obliged to refund money if a discount coupon is used. One of the reasons is that if we offer a large discount, for example, it may be abused. There are many who take advantage of this. Not everyone.
3) When the ticket says ‘request accepted’, it means that our night shift (remote) team has accepted your ticket and passed it on to the finance department, which will respond after it was decided that you would not be refunded.
The rules are there. Many people do not read them, but that is not our problem. There are many people who do not even read the rules. By their own choice, they are then suspended and do not know why. It is your responsibility to read at least the AUP (Acceptable Usage Policy). This would avoid this type of inconvenience for you and for us.
We have already asked you to contact us via ticket or telegram.
Refunds work exactly as the rules of what is and is not allowed. What is the difficulty? It is entirely your responsibility.
