I’m not aware of any VPs-services on the starlink network. It just don’t guarantee any speed, to host more than some homelab things

difficult since spacex charges $/gb for bandwidth + 1 public IP per account.
also, ground stations are not interconnected to each other.
JP have own network, PH have own network, SG have own network, ID have own network eventhough under one ASN.

Explain this to me like I'm five years old on how this is better than using your existing connection or something geographically very near to you. Why do you need a VPS on a residential connection for "gaming"? What game benefits from this?
Starlink is a fine product, but it's hardly what I'd consider to be a good option for gamers, even when used directly.

I am speculating here, but based on his responses. I am guessing maybe the gaming here that he is referencing here might be online gambling or casino like games as gambling is sometimes referred to as gaming as well as compared to video games.

In the future, when Starlink is able to do pure space routing end-to-end, it will theoretically be able to provide long distance international routes at a fraction of the latency of terrestrial fiber due to the links being more direct and the speed of light propagating faster in the vacuum of space.
Today however, it's roughly the same, since they route international traffic via ground stations.
