Is this your script? I see it is set in your sig. If it is, FYI, I had to manually set the IPV6_CHECK to false or it would hang.
I paid for a Captain NVMe VPS.
When I paid, it said 16 GB of RAM, but after I paid, the control panel showed 8 GB. This looks like a scam on your part.

Commodore: 16GB RAM & 16 Core CPU
Captain: 8 GB RAM - 8 Core CPu
Maybe that is a typo error
@vladpoznanskiy Thanks for raising this. Let us please clarify so there’s no misunderstanding.
For the earlier limited double-resources offer, the upgrade was not applied automatically at checkout. As stated in the offer, customers were asked to place the order first and then contact us / open a ticket with the order number so the team could manually apply the doubled RAM & disk.
So:
The control panel initially shows the base plan specs
If your order was placed as part of the double-resources allocation, our team will apply the upgrade after verification
If you believe your order qualifies, please open a ticket with your order/invoice number, and the team will take care of it promptly.
Also, just to be clear and on record:
HostSailor has been operating for over a decade, and we’ve built our reputation by handling issues openly, respectfully, and transparently. There is absolutely no intention to mislead or “bait-and-switch” anyone.
Hope all is clear now 👍
I also ran this script and it froze completely. I thought it was installing something and got an error. Turns out the issue was that my VPS doesn't have IPv6. Thanks!
Thanks! Should be fixed now

This plan currently displays 8 gigabytes of RAM. In the screenshot above, I indicated that the plan was 16 gigabytes at the time of purchase, but there's no mention of a doubling promotion.
The service is the same, but after payment the parameters changed.

I bought a VPS from your team that I didn't really need because I've been lurking here on LET for a few years off and on, and your reputation is really good. Sorry that you're dealing with so many people trying to get more than what they paid for. It all seems very clear to me.
>
What do you mean they're trying to get more? I paid for one plan and got a completely different one. Do you think that's okay?
@vladpoznanskiy Dear please reach out to us with order/invoice number at [email protected] and we'll look into it and solve the issue promptly.
He explained very clearly what you need to do if you qualify for the bonus resources.
I've already contacted them. When they respond, I'll write here.
@vladpoznanskiy Message is received and I have advised to look into it and do the needful. Please note, an update will be shared within 24 hours maximum.
Hi, Invoice #422192, please + 2 Free Months + Double RAM & Disk. Thank you!
Order Number: 6696058579
It was actually just that the previous double resources promotion page hadn’t been updated 😓. I didn’t notice it either, but that’s okay—it's still good value for the price, isn’t it?
For example, the previous page showed a price of USD 28.78 per quarter for an 8C/8G configuration. However, the double resources promotion code was clearly no longer valid. When a user places an order using the new 85% discount, the order page still shows 8C/8G, but after proceeding with the purchase and applying the discount code, the actual service delivered is 4C/4G.
@yitiantiandeshuo As we explained earlier, that were limited to few units which have been sold. But still as good will, instead of closing the deal, we extended our promotion so maximum users can avail 85% lifetime discount :-)
Happy New Year
Happy New Year. Of course, I understand the promotion plan, but apparently some people didn’t. They were trying to use the 85% discount while also getting the double resources included in the 40% promotion, haha. If that were possible, I would open a ticket as well |・ω・`) (just kidding).
Hi, Invoice #HS-305893, please + 2 Free Months + Double RAM & Disk. Thanks, Happy New Year!
Offers Valid Till January 1 2026
On 12.12.2024, HostSailor offered a 90% recurring discount valid for orders placed that day. Not once but twice, HostSailor confirmed that customers would be eligible to upgrade their plans and keep the 90% recurring discount.
Afterwards, HostSailor backtracked and stated that upgrading plans while retaining the 90% recurring discount was only possible if there was enough capacity left on the “promo node.” Obviously, the promo node was at capacity, and upgrading while retaining the 90% recurring discount was not possible unless someone else using the recurring discount canceled their plan.
Since the discount only applied to yearly billing cycles, this meant it would take at least until 12.12.2025 for a new opportunity to upgrade while retaining the 90% recurring discount.
In the weeks leading up to 12.12.2025, I contacted HostSailor multiple times, stating that I was calling “dibs” on any capacity freed up by someone canceling (or forgetting to renew) their 90% recurring discount plan. So far, I have evidence that at least one person did cancel their 90% recurring discount plan, meaning there should be capacity available to honor my upgrade while retaining the 90% recurring discount.
I contacted HostSailor about this, but so far they have refused to answer my tickets (#AL395784 and #AP326438). I have no complaints about the server itself, but I do have complaints about the service. I feel this is dishonest business practice, as the rules are being changed while the game is in play.

Anyway, thank you for one more excellent acquisition.
Their promotion was spread across different nodes. Depending on where you at, capacity might just not be there or being filled with new orders.
Also, that promo was insane... Curious about the motivation to come back one year(!) after date to get an even better deal. Where does it end?
This kind of behavior is exactly why some excellent hosts left let. They're willing to eat some profit to amuse us, then they get beaten up over semantics.
Also, there have been better offers past few weeks, if you'd pay notice. So why mess about with a host when you can get something else?
Just observe, they ain't perfect but getting a shit storm of unreasonable crap thrown at them currently. I think they the next to leave let. I hope they do, So I can enjoy my 6/y servers in in peace.

I've bought 2 VPS from them, and it's absolutely insane. For that price, both of my VPS have %stealtime ~ 0%. I couldn't even dream that I could buy a VPS with 8-core AMD, GB6 1800 single core, 8 GB RAM for just 58 USD per year.
The ship is gone, I suppose
