As per business definition of "malpractice". I don't see GreenCloudVPS committing any. Perhaps understanding, and I mean completely understanding what promo and add-ons is all about would make more sense.

Op has solid point that 112 GB shouldn't cost this much even with promo plans because storage is very cheaper resource.
I think very less people upgrade thier base storage so they haven't priced it right.
PS: I personally love greencloud and their panel n stuff.

Looks like a normal sales query to me. GC is letting you know the cost for the upgrade and you find that it is expensive thats all.
It is fair to say that the price for the additional storage is expensive to you, similarly it is also fair for GC to set the price as they deem fair as they provide the service.
Unless there is a contract between you and GC where they are obligated to sell you addtional storage at a certain pricing I see no malpractice here.
If you are trying to use LET court of public opinion to put pressure on GC it is obviously not working because you have neither the influence or evidence to substantiate your claims of malpractice.

I know how much it costs and that the cost of adding 112 GB is very high but I can see a pattern where flash sales have lowest prices but any addition/change to them is costing extra because they are not main range product and they are pain in the ass to allocate more.
i have to say, promotion price is not full price, you can not get promotion price any time in a year
the secret of greencloudvps is not their price policy, it is their CPU fair use policy, if i remember it right, it is 25% or 30%? , once you hit that limit, your server will automatically suspended, seems they use a script to do that, rumor says there is no warning email, i am not sure, because i never reached that limit
He say once (check his comments) that actually they didn't do any limit to 30% fair use, but they write this to prevent any abuse customer

there's nothing called script, all vps hosting provider monitor the node usage of all vps 24/7
I love my GCVPS $31.5 for 1TB storage per year and 3TB bandwidth in SG.
I dont want to call it malpractice. But the pricing is definitely on the higher side. I understand that storage upgrades are usually priced differently and may not fall under promotional LET deals, but the jump still feels disproportionate compared to the original plan. But once again every provider has their strategy to make money because in the end they need to make money to sustain.
I also saying the same. 400% price of the VPS itself only for the Storage is really higher.
But obviously their rules are rules.
