@Arirang Your VPS is G11 not G12.
G12 version has problem
Got it. I missed that part
Although in terms of CPU benchmark scores, it is not as high as expected, my website still loads quickly and smoothly, with stealtime at 0.0. I am still using my RS1000 G12, and if Netcup has a way to fix this issue, it would be better. I hope they will fix it, because as it stands now, the RS G12 is causing them to lose customers.
YABS Now (Droped from 2000 to 1700 in one month)
It was 2000 single core right after bf purchase but now it's 1500. I'm expecting to drop even more and then I will cancel it. On the other hand G11 is 1000 yabs steady for months now.
Quite off topic, but I would like to share my experiences with Netcup here.
They have become a red rag for me by now — above all because of their extremely crude and authoritarian understanding of corporate policy and of how they think they can treat their customers:
I ordered a 500 GB web hosting package and at the same time a RS 4000 G9.5, later a RS 4000 G11. Apart from the rather unattractive backend, I was initially quite satisfied. The web hosting package was split into 250 GB email and 250 GB web space — fine as well. But once I briefly crossed the 400 GB threshold, the harassment began, and for over a year now I have been receiving a weekly (!) email:
_“Good day,
we would like to inform you that your web hosting plan HostingXYZ – Webhosting 4000 NUE is currently using 80% of the booked storage capacity for the web server.
Once the maximum storage capacity is reached, your hosting will be automatically suspended. We therefore ask you to delete data that is no longer needed so that your hosting has sufficient free storage space. If you require more storage space, please contact our support team. We will help you find a suitable plan. Alternatively, you can independently book a suitable plan with more storage space for your web server in the Customer Control Panel (CCP) under ‘Products’.”_
At first I ignored this and sent it to where it belonged - the spam folder.
And when I then actually exceeded the 500 GB limit four or five times in quick succession, the consequence was indeed this: without any further warning, access to the package in the CCP was blocked. There was no alternative — you had to contact customer service like a naughty schoolboy, had to appologize and ask for the web hosting to be reactivated. And if you did not manage to download or delete the data quickly enough, the same automated mechanism ensured that you were locked out again.
Nowhere on their website there is any mention of fair use.
And how absurd is it, to tell customers to delete data or book the next bigger package, when 80% of the storage space is used — effectively, the use of one fifth of the booked package is denied to you with these emails on a weekly basis.
And for the last half year now, every time, that brief moment of alarm when I see that email in my inbox, followed by the question: could it be? ... or am I still in the limit?
What kind of understanding of service is that? And on top of that, I am supposed to kneel down just to regain access to my own data.
I do not want to say more about this here — I think it speaks for itself.
I for my part definitely cannot recommend them.
I hate netcup but in this case, I will actually side with netcup.
They give you prior warning but even after reading, you "ignored and sent it to spam folder to where it belongs."
It shouldn't come as surprise after that.
I'm not taking anyone's side, but I think netcup shouldn't waste time on cases like this. It would be better to spend that time supporting and responding to customers.
Like other VPS providers I've used: when I buy an self-managed VPS, if my VPS disk gets full, that's entirely my responsibility. When the disk is full, services obviously won't run normally—things like nginx, PHP, or MySQL will stop.
It's great that they care enough to remind customers in such cases, but it should just be set up as an automatic email. After that, whatever happens to the customer's VPS is up to them, just like how other providers handle it.
@aaxaa
today, My RS1000 G12:
I hope it wont be below 1600 or i will change to G11 when i have a chance.
Did you run your YABS on a fresh install?
Those scores look horrible compared to my G11.
With relatively low load, my G11 scores 1827 and 7225 for single core & multi core, respectively.
After doing a clean wipe of my system with Debian 13, I now get 1956 and 10295.
No, i do the check sometime from the first day i set up it.
The score down from over 2000 to over 1600 now ( current in my case, sometime below 1700 but not below 1600)
My VPS has only low traffic.
A User from netcup forum has RS G12 and RS G11, he confirms RS G11 is better then G12.
You can read here: https://forum.netcup.de/administration-of-a-server-vserver/vserver-server-kvm-server/p255984-root-server-g12-underwhelming-performance/#post255984
update recent score of my VPS:
This is the last time i post about this.
I will wait for Netcup flash sale - maybe have RS 1000 G11 and change to G11.
Nexttime from last time.
Maybe Good News from Netcup. My RS1000 G12 has good GB6 score now.
Many times i do yabs and the score not bad. Not above 1500, not below 1600 or below 1800, it was about to 2000.
