Looking to buy 64GB DDR4 UDIMM ECC
Does anyone know a better price than what I'm seeing on my screen?
My cold dark basement is currently being warmed by a Ryzen 9 3950x mounted on an AM4 motherboard with 32GB DDR4 ECC, it is a regular ATX desktop computer that I'm looking to upgrade to 64GB ECC, but prices and liquidity are apocalyptic at over 6€ per GB. Registered DDR4 cost half as much per GB, but need a compatible Epyc motherboard ($$$) which would eat any savings and beyond.

prices are crazy and we haven't seen anything yet wait till it cost more than $1000, no one will afford a system for years, just like GPU's for gaming, but AI will have plenty of memory.... I guess we can go back to dumb terminals (VT-100s) and just answer to the almighty AI prompt on the screen.
32GB module around 150.-
where
I dont know if that fits, but i cant find udimm anywhere.
HP 726722-B21 These are cheap, dont know their quality.
These are for Epyc or Xeon
phs-memory. Try there, prices begins from 150 for 32. The 16 modules are from about 80.
Should've asked for ram for Christmas.
Do you really need ECC?...
Yeah I had enough ruinous stochastic results in its absence.
Hi,
we could give
Crucial 64 GB unbuffered UDIMM DDR5-5600
CT64G56C46U5
500,- EUR
But its DDR5 and 1x 64G module...
RAM prices increased 50% over the last 20 days. Right now, we're in a buy now, think later situation.
Does nobody remember the story of toilet paper? Are we doomed to repeat this cycle every five years? When in a price spike, if you don't need it, you don't buy.
The problem is we need it.
How’s supply been? RAM I mean, I’m assuming the office is stocked well enough on TP.
Francisco
Having trouble getting any sort of large quantities.
Motherboards seem to be next.
That's not how herd mind works, herd mind dictates that you should always follow the actions of the group.
I checked some secondhand trading platforms in China, and the lowest price is around 230 EUR. but they only ship to addresses in China
With no TP you can just use your left hand.
With no DRAM you should probably go outside (don't forget to wash your hands)
