so i into this place to complain this even

  • Your system only indicates that the system is not corrupted on Ubuntu 24, and I can only connect via SSH on Ubuntu 24. However, the password I set before reinstalling does not work on my server. 1. I hope you can repair your corrupted system; I kept getting error messages during installation. 2. I hope you can fix the issue where the password/username set during the physical machine reinstallation is not the actual account. 3. I hope you can send me the account and password for my server.

  • It's been almost 3 weeks since I ordered the server, I still haven't received it, they haven't returned my money, and the support team is silent. @VPSSLIM pretends to be interested in your question and wants to figure it out, but in reality, he doesn't give any answers, just the same silence and the server not working.

Yes, saw your ticket, replied. Working on it as well. You bumped your ticket several times per hour, causing the ticket to go down, not up in queue.

  • Does anyone else notice how poorly .EE connection? It started a few days ago, and it's ongoing, or is it just my VPS?

Can't say anything about network, but one node surely has some problems with abusers I think )

I guess, that's the node I'm on probably, open a ticket, hope they will fix it :)

  • Almost a month later, I still haven't received the server I purchased. Looks like I'll have to switch to a different hosting provider.

So, the VPS has been down for the third day now, and technical support is basically ignoring me. Over all this time, I’ve received exactly two replies across two tickets.

In Ticket #552052, I was told that my request would be given the highest priority. After that — complete silence for the next two days.

The second reply, in Ticket #304165, was just a guess that I might be putting too much load on the VPS. Instead of actually checking the load metrics and seeing that the usage is minimal, support seems to prefer wasting time with strange assumptions. After that — silence again. No responses at all.

Is this really what “24/7 technical support” is supposed to look like?

I’m honestly very disappointed by this situation and by how unfairly I’m being treated. The support response is extremely slow, inconsistent, and there’s been zero progress. I’ve never experienced technical support this slow or this unreasonable before.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend avoiding HostSlim. I paid for a VPS hosted in the Netherlands, but the server was repeatedly slow, unstable, and completely unreachable. It would sometimes work for only a couple of days and then remain offline for days or even weeks. At one point, the VPS had no working IPv4 address at all. This made the service effectively unusable.
Support was equally disappointing. My ticket history documents repeated reports of downtime from March through July 2026. Replies were often extremely brief, failed to resolve the underlying problem, and in one case I waited approximately a week for a response. Even HostSlim’s own system acknowledged that the ticket had been delayed.
After paying for a month in which I received, at most, about a week of usable service, I asked to cancel and requested a €24 refund. The service was terminated, but the refund was not issued. My separate high-priority billing ticket requesting the refund has remained unanswered since August 2, 2026.
In my experience, HostSlim provided an unreliable product, inadequate technical support, and no meaningful response to a legitimate refund request. Think very carefully before trusting them with a server or any service that needs dependable uptime.

@angstrom What about introducing some "cool down" period (i.e. display only) for new members before they can post (if technically possible)? Lately we see more and more people spamming/attacking hosts as soon as they join. Then you often have to ban them... could be less work for you too?

    2 weeks... or at least 48h ?

    Not feasible in practice

Also, it always surprises me when someone registers an account and doesn't post anything for days or weeks or even years, but when they finally post something, they spam

Anyway, the user in question above is banned
