[HIRING] Remote Linux L2/L3 Support Engineer - Async Communication Preferred

Hello!

I'm a senior Linux infrastructure engineer with 7+ years of production experience. I'm actively seeking part-time or full-time remote L2/L3 support roles where I can handle ticket-based infrastructure issues.

My Skills & Expertise:
- Linux Administration (RedOS, CentOS, Ubuntu) - Hardening, security, production deployments
- Windows Server (AD, DNS, GPO, WSUS)
- DevOps & Automation: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins), Bash/Python scripting
- Cloud Infrastructure: Networking, VPS management, server migrations
- 24/7 monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response

Why I'm a Good Fit:
- Text-based, asynchronous communication only (no voice calls required)
- I use AI tools for documentation and quick reference, ensuring fast ticket resolution
- Strong attention to detail and security best practices
- Available for flexible hours, including overnight shifts (GMT+5 timezone)
- Experience with cPanel, DirectAdmin, and common hosting stacks

Looking for:
- Ticket-based support roles (L2/L3 minimum)
- $15-25/hour or equivalent (negotiable based on project scope)
- Long-term, stable engagement preferred
- Companies comfortable with text/chat-based communication

Interested? Reach out with your requirements. I'm ready to start immediately.

Best regards,
LinuxAlexander

  • I'm not sure that Requests is the right category for what you're looking for. Also, the "[HIRING]" in your title is misleading, since I think you're looking to be hired, not trying to hire someone?

Perhaps try asking in this thread: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/182685/looking-for-a-job-maybe-our-community-can-help

It's a bit old, but some providers might be following it still. Who knows!

    Good luck!

  • Hiring means YOU'RE hiring people

I would generally advise anyone against saying (and even doing) that... but maybe there are blind AI enthusiasts who get turned on by that.

  • Thank you all for the constructive feedback! You're absolutely right - the title should be [SEEKING] not [HIRING], as I'm looking to be hired, not hiring someone. My mistake!

I also appreciate Andreix's point about the AI tools mention. I understand the skepticism, and I'd like to clarify: I don't rely on AI blindly. Rather, I leverage modern tools and documentation resources to ensure fast, accurate ticket resolution while maintaining professional standards and security best practices. The critical part is my 7+ years of hands-on Linux experience that allows me to validate, test, and properly apply any solution.

I'll be more careful with the wording in future posts. Thanks again for keeping this community sharp!

    Best regards,
    LinuxAlexander
