VPS in Ireland
What are my options for a low cost VPS in Ireland? Looking to have anywhere from 6GB to 16GB RAM and some 100 GB of NVME/SSD Storage or thereabouts. What kind of pricing can I expect? I am not keen on using amazon .. would really like your suggestions on what can be a good deal in there?

Best you may get is mvps(.net). Anything else is rather offers from 2001 with crazy pricing or maybe recently some Hostpapa resellers(ibfra users, but I would not use Hostpapa network in IE. Rather anything on Blacknight.
@dustinc / RackNerd has services in Dublin, and I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a quote for what you're looking for.
Do you mean VPS Price Tracker? I see this result for your query and is not a bad one, it's in price with the UK and France:
@davide
Why should you host on HostPapa network in Dublin if all connections to Ireland by them go via London?
You would be better off hosting your vps in London or Manchester with way many more offers.
E.g. if you need good connection to AWS Dublin, anything on Hostpapa is useless (as it travels back and forth to London) but you would need a Blacknight network. Same with most ISP in Ireland.
Whats the requirement for Ireland? Is it just local? Cheap VMs up there are very rare, especially ones that properly route within Ireland
@maverhick we can do the requested configuration in Ireland for the following pricing :
6 GB at $12.99
12 GB at $22.99
16 GB at $32.99
All cloud servers with 120 GB NVme Storage
Send us a PM if interested and we'll generate an order for you.
Kind Regards
This is so true- especially the *ones that properly route within Ireland" part. I just bought a BF special from a very popular seller here in LET, and couldn't believe it when I saw the traffic leave my local computer (in Dublin), go through London, and then Manchester, and the finally loop all the way back to Dublin. The last ticket with their support suggested I should change my ISP...
@fixxation you probably hit one that uses HostPapa as well. While I honor that HP entered the Dublin market, they really have to improve on network for that location. Also even Teraswitch could improve about their network in Dublin, and they are not low end.
In general, Ireland is a big corps market - they don't look for vps, but land to build DCs on. But general purpose DCs are rather sparse as all those big corps take all the land for DCs (MS,AWS,etc.).
For decent network, you need a provider that e.g. uses Blacknight in Dublin. Blacknight itself is really not low end, as pretty all providers in Ireland are that are from Ireland, all expensive like hell and mostly on old hw.
Best option is still MVPS that uses Blacknight network afaik but ymmv.
And we really not more "normal" providers stepping into the Irish market as midrange and lowend is totally underserved there.
