    I know with the replies it's not serious (or at least that's the way I read them) but I only hate AI when it's used with no effort and/or used only as a tool. Like, there's some great stuff from AI but there's way more low effort/slop from it.

    Yeah, you're right there is some nuance to it. Actually, I've never directly used AI myself apart from google AI polluting the top of my search results and me occasionally reading it. But a friend of mine got really into using some AI thing to make cartoons with characters that parodied him and his friends and told silly versions of his day to day antics. I really loved the style of the pictures he shared, and one of them of me is still my phone lock screen about a year later. I meant to have a go, but then other things sucked up my time instead.
