I'm going to ignore this "drop talks of that" comment, because it's clear you have a completely wrong view of me.
I don't care in the slightest about your dreams of getting the PC, whether your don't want the PC, whether you win it, or whether someone else wins it. It's of zero consequence to me. Honestly, if you want it and think you can keep in at the top of the leader board, you keep doing what you're doing, it makes absolutely no difference to me.
Honestly, I don't know why you keep pulling this whole "if I win BS" anyway. Because of your aggressive spamming strategy, you are insanely far ahead of anyone else. As you literally do reply to absolutely every post, even if there's nothing to add, as well as also posting random "hype for page x", "who's here to hype?", "don't forget gleam", blah blah blah, there's not a chance that you can possibly not win. Well, sure unless you just stopped posting entirely, but you don't seem to understand that nobody actually wants that.
From a personal perspective, I started this because I thought I'd get a bit of the store credit. At the top I started, I assumed I needed to be top 20 which was a couple of hundred posts. Literally thought it'd be a couple of hours of spam posts of the kind the thread was already full of. I'll be honest, I was actually really pissed off when you accused me of "necroposting" when I was replying to posts just from earlier that day. If you'd have said, "you're interfering with the conversation when there was actual conversation, then maybe", but no. You said necroposting when I was replying to stuff that was barely a few hours old. Even worse, you'd done far more of exactly the same, and from even older posts. Damn straight, that kind of double standards pisses me off.
I respected your comments, and stopped replying to anything over a couple of hours, but then I noticed how much actual spamming you did, and then within a day, you'd started replying to stuff over a day old again, which was older than what you'd given me shit about. Again, I don't tolerate bullshit and double standards lightly.
Honestly, at that point you'd reawakened memories of kids from school days who'd always try to cheat at every game by creating rules that benefitted them, and as soon as others learned how to play by those rules, you'd change them to stop playing the same game as you, and so you'd win by default. If you're 50-3 up in a football match and the ref bans scoring any more goals, guess what the result will be.
So from that point, when I was only a couple of hundred posts into the thread, it was crystal clear what you're strategy is - spam reply to everything and anything, whether you had anything to add, often regardless of whether you'd even read it or not. Often you'd spam in a way that shut down any further replies "Ok. Alright." being just one example. Others you'd ask a question, and I'd answer that question sensibly, and you'd respond literally to the words in the answer without even re-reading your own question. Like you had ZERO idea of what it was you were replying to. A few times you did that to me on a serious question, and it's fucking rude. Why the hell should I even bother with a sensible reply, if you're not even going to spare a couple of seconds to read it before just using it as an excuse to increase your post count again. That's when I got into the mindset of "fuck it, might as well just shitpost as well".
Around then, I'd decided to go for top 10 to get a better prize, and then discovered only the top 6 places actually got prizes, so I riffed a load of shitposting back and forth up to around 1000 posts which was 6th place, and honestly it was a lot of fun and I just kept on with it. I didn't particularly want to overtake @bchot (so sorry if you really wanted that prize) but it was just fun at that point.
At this point, I'm kind of with Sara that your story doesn't really add up. It really does feel like a lot of it is to try to win sympathy so she doesn't play to same game as you. If you really have only $400 debt (which is about what the PC minus GPU is worth), you'd actually be able to clear that debt getting the 2nd prize and selling that unopened. The whole needing the PC and nothing else is kind of BS. Just be honest - you want it because it's worth more money. That's a totally fine position to have, by the way, there's no need to even have a back story to justify it.
But like I say, what I find most frustrating is the whole BS about just wanting conversations when it's clear that's not what you want. What you really want are posts that you feel you can reply to without it looking too obviously like spam. Just be honest about what you're doing.
I'm pretty sure you're barely going to read this post, let alone take any of it to heart, so you do you I guess. Don't just stop playing the game, just don't call people out when they play by the same rules as you.
PS I'm not sure if you replied to this with "Ok. Alright." whether I'd find that funny or just all too predictable.

Hehe, I strongly suspect he doesn't even know about the prizes! If he did, he could easily make it back into the prizes just by thanking Dustin on every 5th or something like that!
I think he's just reselling the servers in China and making a small cut on all of them. I'd also guess people think they're getting double the bandwidth from the start and just see they can get better specs buying through him than direct. Plus also paying in dollars is quite tricky for most Chinese.
