When I first bought it, I used to work about 20km away and every day I parked next to a house that was about half the size of mine and was on sale for more than double the price I'd paid.

Unfortunately they tax you on estimated worth so they'll gladly up that by 20 % year after year.

It's not far apart I guess. I think for us it's quite easy to learn English or German. Other way around is bit harder.

Yeah. Actually, I've never studied German or Dutch, just picked bits up here and there. But studied French, Spanish and Latin, and self studied some Greek. They're all mostly forgotten now though from lack of use.
