    In the Minneapolis metro, I used to live in the middle of nowhere North Dakota where it would get colder and have way worse wind. Though the metro has totally made me weaker to the windchill there. Probably not enough buildings/smog to warm it up a little :joy:

    yeah, summers are 26.6667C-37.7778C. Basically, we get all seasons to the extreme here, sometimes all within the same day! :lol: It's nice if you like a decent sized "big city" but also enjoy have the "country" not that far away.

    Ohw but 26 is hot but not too bad? Does that last long? We get temperatures like that as well.

    Sounds like a good mixture of both urban and country. Hope to visit more of the USA next year!

    yeah, dude got that fast! For a long time, I only streamed a niche game so there wasn't many viewers and the community was really small. The second I started streaming tetris, I basically got affiliate within the week (whatever the average viewers in X stream requirement)

    like $50-$100/year though I don't take it seriously and don't stream too often. Honestly, getting affiliate was never about getting money (ads/subs/bits), I just wanted the bonus features that come with affiliate :lol:

    Yeah, I'd consider passive since I don't take it seriously, basically just click stream when I'm playing some games but I've kind of been only streaming some team league matches for some time now. I actually worked on a twitch bot for ad breaks so my stream will be "ad free" for certain amount of time. Though I did catch a few "bugs" with my bot when I actually started to trigger the longer ad break and also triggering another ad break before the "ad free" time expired, I really need to work on that one of these days since I do want to start streaming tetris again.

    That's interesting. So, does this use Twitch API or something to implement the ad bypass?

    Twitch has gotten really agressive with ads ever since they came out with turbo or whatever it's called. So instead of interupting folks midstream or telling them how to block ads (probably against twitch's tos or something), I rather has controlled ads. It actually one thing I hate about affiliate. I wish there was a way to say "I want no ads, just take a bigger cut of bits/subs instead"

    Yeah, uses twitch's API and it's just standard twitch things. There was an article/post from twitch saying you can get up to 60 minutes ad free (they call it pre-roll or something) where you basically get 10 minutes for 30 seconds of ads. I haven't tried other timings but their article gave 10/20/30/60 minute examples. Some day I'll try 40/50 just to see if those work. You can also use their streamer dashboard to handle this but I much prefer just typing like "!ad60" in my chat and have it do it than clicking around in the dashboard. Plus, my bot will also post reminders for how much time is remaining, though I do need to update that as if I run the 1hr break, it will still post an update every 5 minutes which is a bit excessive, at least when it's over 30 minutes left. Still debating on having it annouce like every 10 minutes over 30 (like 50, 40, 30 minutes left) or just announce the time after the ad break over and say nothing until there's 30 minutes left, then say it every 5 as my team thing has 20 minute matches so I need to be warned/keep track to have those uninterrupted.

    I'd find it difficult to survive there then, ig. My body doesn't take well to quick temperature changes. So, how have you been? Been quite some time now having had a proper convo with you.

    Good, just busy with life things. Debating on going to the store today after I do some house chores (my standard for Sundays) or if I should just wait until tomorrow when it's much warmer. Honestly, it's still up in the air if I do venture outside today besides taking the dog out. Honestly, the weather isn't that bad, you just have to dress appropriately. Though if it does get in the 40s on Tuesday, I'll have to fight the urge to wear shorts since it will feel so warm :lol:

    I sont mind it when not too cold. Have been gardening all day. Like lots of wind and cold but it was ik once I got going.
