Yeah, I'd consider passive since I don't take it seriously, basically just click stream when I'm playing some games but I've kind of been only streaming some team league matches for some time now. I actually worked on a twitch bot for ad breaks so my stream will be "ad free" for certain amount of time. Though I did catch a few "bugs" with my bot when I actually started to trigger the longer ad break and also triggering another ad break before the "ad free" time expired, I really need to work on that one of these days since I do want to start streaming tetris again.
Maybe his keyboard also broke like cannot post?

Twitch has gotten really agressive with ads ever since they came out with turbo or whatever it's called. So instead of interupting folks midstream or telling them how to block ads (probably against twitch's tos or something), I rather has controlled ads. It actually one thing I hate about affiliate. I wish there was a way to say "I want no ads, just take a bigger cut of bits/subs instead"
Yeah, uses twitch's API and it's just standard twitch things. There was an article/post from twitch saying you can get up to 60 minutes ad free (they call it pre-roll or something) where you basically get 10 minutes for 30 seconds of ads. I haven't tried other timings but their article gave 10/20/30/60 minute examples. Some day I'll try 40/50 just to see if those work. You can also use their streamer dashboard to handle this but I much prefer just typing like "!ad60" in my chat and have it do it than clicking around in the dashboard. Plus, my bot will also post reminders for how much time is remaining, though I do need to update that as if I run the 1hr break, it will still post an update every 5 minutes which is a bit excessive, at least when it's over 30 minutes left. Still debating on having it annouce like every 10 minutes over 30 (like 50, 40, 30 minutes left) or just announce the time after the ad break over and say nothing until there's 30 minutes left, then say it every 5 as my team thing has 20 minute matches so I need to be warned/keep track to have those uninterrupted.
