VPS for crawler [legit]

I'm making a crawler, I need VPS which will allow this.
What crawler do:
Connecting to website main page only (http or https) and check reply code 200 or error. Like a browser. That's all
1-2 CPU 2000mhz+, 2 gb ram, 100Mbit/s
hdd or ssd/nvme doesn't matter.
Location - US/Europe

Do you really need a VPS? 2gb is far too much, why not a cheap NAT VPS, unless there's something else?
