Yeah, That would be more than I could afford but a man can dream.

If you have a PC at home, you could always use that!
Or use CPU only processing!

For me, it's 05:00 when it goes live lmao

Around 9AM Dec 13 for me

    Nice

I am guessing you won't be able to attend it live then. It was around the same time the chef arrived this year as well

Nope. I won't be watching it live

Yah, would be too early for you given its a weekday

Yeah. And even if it would be during the weekend, I would still not watch it live. Way too early for me

How about if it was at a time elater in the day?

Don't we all? The past few days I went crazy and now I realise how bad it is. I am constantly tired and sleepy for the past 2 days or so

Let's reach 1000 orders as well as 1000 pages!

I've got to get a few more VPS and Shared Hosting accounts. I'm really wishing RackNerd had a dedicated box with GPU for setting up an LLM and API. Love RackNerd's servers I have been using for a few years now.

Hey, welcome to the RackNerd BF thread. Good to have you here. And yes, even I'd love RackNerd to have GPU VPS. I'd love to have some for AI training and learning.

I am thinking something similar to what Runpod does. Maybe something that can also be rented at an hourly rate.

I have personally been using CPU only for training a TTS model, and it isn't as slow as I'd imagined but having watched videos of people doing it with GPUs and the speed at which they complete, I am convinced GPU is much better. Moreover, there are processed which would even deny processing without a GPU

I've done that. Mostly use colab pro account currently for training and generating. I need to explore more services like runpod. CPU is just too slow. I do have some neural network scripts that run fine on raspberry Pi.

Yah, sites like Runpod enable you to choose machines with a particular GPU depending on your use purpose and run your code on there for an hourly rate. For additional payment, you also get persistent storage, unlike colab

I believe Runpod instances with GPUs can be rented at less than $3 an hour. Not sure how the prices are gonna change with GPU inflation though.
